DIY Summer

We (well, Kevin and his Dad) tackled 2 home improvement projects this summer. Here's a recap. Above picture is our kitchen/dining/living before - carpet extending from living room into dining room and linoleum in the kitchen. Dining room + carpet + 3 year old = "That's not a very good idea" to quote Jenna.

End result - Laminate wood floors beautifully installed. Our little sweeper is pretty cute, too!

2nd project - new deck! Pictured above is our old, small deck. No room to sit, eat, and enjoy the view.

One Last Little Vacation

My parents and brother came for a visit starting July 26. So, we took one last little vacation with them before Kevin had to start working on school stuff again. Of course, we had to have breakfast at the Pantry and feed the ducks at the pond.

As soon as we got to our place to stay in Winter Park, Jenna had to get out to the water to throw rocks with Uncle Matt!
This vacation was largely a fishing vacation. Jenna and I got to go on one of the last days.

The last day there, we went to the resort area. They had some really cool instruments.
Jenna didn't want to do the big slide this year. So, we rode the chair lift up to the top of the mountain and had lunch. On the way down the mountain, she said, "I can see the whole world!"
