Update
JUNE - LAKE POWELL
There are many tender moments and emotions that accompany our family to Lake Powell and I love that beautiful place more and more each time I go. I love the Jackman Family too and I'm so glad they are nice enough to let us have their dad Randy, for our Powell trips!
Kate loves water and she had so much fun feeding the ducks and the fish at Powell. She even went tubing with mom and dad!
I love this picture of Sophia because it's one of the few times I've seen her just let it all out. She is such a good, quiet baby! Always content and has a cute little smirk on her face. She was a little hot and she was going to let her mama know!
JULY - BIRTHDAY PARTY
Kate turned one this year and I decided to be brave and make her a birthday cake. I copied one of my cousin Kalleen's amazing birthday cakes (what was I thinking?!?!?!?) and in the end it turned out OK. Kalleen keeps reassuring me that all it takes is confidence and lots of practice so maybe by the time Kate turns 15 I'll be able to make her a decent cake.
Kate is definitely not an entertainer. In the end she liked her wax birthday candle way more than her birthday cake.
This is Kate's tree. Sim had the good idea to plant a tree for each of our children on their first birthday. That way the tree could grow with them and that would be their tree. Kate's tree is an Autumn Blaze and it's a really beautiful tree. Sim's brother's were nice enough to help us plant it on her birthday. After we planted Kate's tree we headed over to Aunt Ashley and Uncle Dan's swimming pool to cool off.
This is Kate's cousin Grace and they share the same birthday. That makes July 10th extra special!
AUGUST - SWIMMING & PARK CITY
In august we did lots of swimming at Ashley & Dan's pool. It was soooooooooo much fun and Kate loved every second of it!
We also went to Park City for a Big Band concert. We saw Tad Calcara and his orchestra and it was lots of fun. Kate loved the music and so did grandpa ("papa", that's what Kate calls him.)
SEPTEMBER - THE OAKLEY RODEO
We have such good neighbors and friends! Sim and I love living in this neighborhood! There are so many fun couples and families to hang out with. The Peterson's are so much fun and they invited us to the Oakley Rodeo this year. We had really good seats and it was fun to watch Kate and Bode's face expressions with all the action.
