Jean-Claude Forest est un auteur complet de bande dessinée. Il débuta dans O.K. en 1949. Dans les années 1950, il travailla pour Caméra 34 (1951-1954), Vaillant (1951-1953) - où il créa notamment le personnage du Copyright dont Mandryka s'est inspiré pour créer le Concombre masqué -, "Fillette" (1953-1954), "Mireille" (1956-1958), "Suzette" (1958-1959), "Lisette" (1962), illustra des aventures de Charlot et Bicot, ainsi que des couvertures de la revue Fiction et du Livre de poche. En 1962, il créa sa première série à succès, Barbarella, qui met en scène une pulpeuse héroïne dans un univers science-fictionnel débridé. Fin 1964, Daniel Filipacchi lui confia la direction d'un hebdomadaire dérivé de la mascotte yéyé Chouchou. Forest en fit un magazine d'avant-garde. En 1971, il créa le personnage d'Hypocrite, dans la même veine que Barbarella. Après avoir collaboré à toutes les revues d'avant-garde des années 1970 (Fluide glacial, Métal Hurlant, L'Écho des savanes, etc.), il travailla particulièrement dans (À suivre), dans lequel il créa avec Jacques Tardi le classique Ici Même puis, seul, "La jonque fantôme vue de l'orchestre" (1980) et "Enfants c'est l'Hydragon qui passe" (1982). En 1983 il reçut le Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême pour l'ensemble de son œuvre. De cette date à sa mort, il créa de moins en moins de bande dessinée. De 1985 à 1988, il dirigea cependant la section bande dessinée du magazine jeunesse Okapi, et créa Leonid Beaudragon pour le magazine. Sa dernière œuvre, "Il faut y croire pour le voir", dessinée par Alain Bignon, parut en 1996.

Alison Bechdel is an American cartoonist. Originally known for the long-running comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, she came to critical and commercial success in 2006 with her graphic memoir Fun Home. Fun Home was subsequently adapted as a musical that won a Tony Award for Best Musical in 2015. In 2012, she released her second graphic memoir Are You My Mother? Bechdel published another memoir, The Secret to Superhuman Strength, in 2021. Her next graphic novel, Spent: A Comic Novel, was released in May 2025. She was a 2014 recipient of the MacArthur "Genius" Award. Bechdel became Professor in the Practice, English and Film & Media Studies at Yale University in 2024.

She is the creator of the Bechdel Test, a test determining female representation in movies. To pass the test, the movie must have two female characters that talk to each other about something other than a man. She credits the idea to her friend Liz Wallace, so the test is sometimes called the Bechdel–Wallace Test.

Ted Adams is an American publisher, producer and executive producer of film and television projects. He's a cofounder and long-time CEO of comics and graphic novel publisher IDW Publishing, which he ran from 1999 to 2018.

Ted Adams has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Southern Oregon University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Adams did support work for Eclipse as a district manager from 1990 to 1992 and as a marketing assistant for Dark Horse from 1992 to 1994. He worked at as an editor at WildStorm and Todd McFarlane Productions before founding IDW in 1999.

King works in support for DC starting in 1990 until the present (as of 2021). He was the cover editor/art director from March 1990 to 2003. King has been an art director for DC during the entire period of employment with the comic book company to date. He also did design work during the 1990s.

In his role as cover editor/art director, King commissioned creators to create most of the comic book periodical logos for DC during that time period.

Kevin Maguire is an American comics artist, known for his work on series such as Justice League, Batman Confidential, Captain America, and X-Men.

Maguire's first credited published comics work was The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe vol. 2 #6 (May 1986), he did support in production work for Marvel in 1986.. He debuted at DC with artwork in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #23 (January 1987) and #25 (March 1987).

In 1987, Maguire was the artist on the relaunch of Justice League written by Keith Giffen and J. M. DeMatteis. He has frequently collaborated with writer Fabian Nicieza on series such as Adventures of Captain America, X-Men Forever, and Batman Confidential. Maguire and George Pérez alternated as artists of the New 52 revival of the Worlds' Finest series, written by Paul Levitz. In 2018 he joined writer Marc Andreyko as the artist on Supergirl as of issue #21 (October 2018).

Dan Vado is an American comic book publisher and writer, and a fixture of the independent comics community. Vado is the owner, president, and publisher of Slave Labor Graphics, also known as SLG Publishing, which he started in 1986.

His writing credits include Barabbas (Mirage Studios), Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight (DC), Bill The Clown (Slave Labor), Extreme Justice (DC), Haunted Mansion (Slave Labor), Hero Sandwich (Slave Labor), Justice League America (DC), and Universal Monsters: Dracula (Dark Horse). He also founded the Alternative Press Expo, one of the first comics conventions dedicated to alternative comics and self-publishers.

Zekkyou (絶叫) is a manga artist and illustrator. She's known for the manga adaptation of the light novel series Toradora! (とらドラ!).
