Education Model:

International Baccalaureate (IB)

At IPS, our International Baccalaureate (IB) schools emphasize inquiry, collaborative learning, critical thinking, and student agency. These educational models seek to develop socially responsible contributors who recognize their shared humanity and guardianship of the planet and strive to create a more peaceful world. All IPS Center for Inquiry (CFI) schools also follow the International Baccalaureate organization model.

IB Primary Years Programming (PYP) Students will go through six units of study based on global themes that incorporate math, science, social studies, reading, writing, and the arts through transdisciplinary teaching, where students apply knowledge and skills from multiple disciplines to help shape the learning experience.

EMBRACING A WORLD OF INQUIRY AND LEARNING

Welcome to Center for Inquiry School 2, where we offer a unique and engaging educational experience through the International Baccalaureate model at our location on 725 North New Jersey Street. Our school emphasizes discussion, reading, writing, and collaborative projects while addressing local and global issues through in-depth inquiry projects, community service, exhibitions, Spanish instruction, and arts and service engagements to foster a community of responsible global citizens. As the first school in Indiana authorized in the Primary Years Programme, we're proud to host programs like Blended Learning, English Language Learner services, Gifted and Talented/High Ability, and Project-Based Learning, all supported by our strong network of community partners and enriched by family involvement through activities such as Family Nights and Student Led Conferences.
