The Diss Track tag should be used on songs explicitly made to insult and mock something or someone else (often a rival artist). This kind of song was popularized through Hip-Hop “diss tracks” where regional “East Coast—West Coast” rivalries escalated through music.

Songs:

• “No Vaseline” by Ice Cube
• “King Of The Hill” by Westside Connection
• “How Do You Sleep?” by John Lennon
• “It’s Everyday Bro” by Jake Paul

Note: Be careful not to confuse this tag with the Battle Rap tag. The difference between the two is that Diss Track tag should be used on solo tracks in back and forth diss battles between 2+ artists. The Battle Rap tag should be used when the format is 2+ artists going back and forth in one song.
