base-core-man has been transitional provider of this for a while and will eventually be dropped; I must've still copied this over from a much earlier version of the #1778 patch when I was experimenting long ago

Thanks @JamiKettunen as you're here, can you help me understand why locally the doas setup works, while in the CI I'm getting doas: Authentication failed?

Hm that is indeed odd, I've just made a new rootless and rootful container but it worked fine on an x86_64 Void Linux glibc host (though for some reason WARNING: image platform (linux/arm64/v8) does not match the expected platform (linux/amd64) happens without any extra flags to change arch? wouldn't expect native container to change much) as well as an aarch64 Chimera Linux one.

Btw I do get this every time I enter the container while doas remains functional without a password

⚠ First time user password setup ⚠
New password: Password change has been aborted.
passwd: Authentication token manipulation error
passwd: password unchanged

Now the error looks different (and frankly way more understandable) 😬

It looks like doas doesn't have a -S option 😄

Thanks, for now I'm going to skip chimera (and doas distros) until we find the culprit for this discrepancy in CI
