New mandatory training for younger drivers goes into effect Nov. 1, 2026

Starting Nov. 1, 2026, first-time drivers under age 25 will need to complete a work zone and first responder safety course to get their license. This free course will be available to everyone on Sept. 1.

Blue Envelope program launches for drivers and passengers who are neurodivergent

Neurodivergent people and others can now get a special blue envelope to hold documents such as vehicle registration and insurance information. The envelope is handed to an officer during a traffic stop.
