Exploratory
At IPS, our Exploratory school educational model enables students to explore their academic and career interests through a full range of program offerings. Our IPS Exploratory schools provide high-quality learning experiences enriched in English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Sciences, and the fine arts through an instructional model that encourages students' curiosity and enables them to achieve their fullest potential.
The Exploratory educational model inspires students to explore their academic and career interests to achieve their fullest potential. Teachers use rigorous college-prep curriculum and build in opportunities for enrichment, providing students with career readiness and the confidence to follow their natural interests.

Welcome to Meredith Nicholson School 96, where diversity thrives and children grow! Located at 3651 North Kiel Avenue, Indianapolis, we're home to students from over 18 different countries, with approximately 85% utilizing English as a Second Language services, making us the largest ESL site in the district. Our caring and dedicated staff—many fluent in both Spanish and English—combine data-driven instruction with arts integration and special education services to help every child achieve their full potential. From our running club and robotics team to active family events and strong community partnerships, Meredith Nicholson School 96 is a place where children not only learn but truly thrive in an inclusive, supportive environment that celebrates our vibrant diversity.
