Pocket PC 2002 is the second release of Windows Mobile. It was released on October 4, 2001. The kernel type is Windows CE 2.10, based off of Pocket PC 2000. Pocket PC 2002's codename is ''Merlin''. The successor is Windows Mobile 2003.

Pocket PC 2002 was a choice for LG devices. The launch sale started on October 29, 2001. Pocket PC 2002 LG devices were for sale in the Campaign Shop. In November 2001, Bill Gates launched 6 devices running Pocket PC 2002 including LG, HTC Vouge and the Vodafone for sale in the Campaign Shop.

Pocket PC 2002 has a new startup screen with no loading bar, looking a lot like Windows XP. After startup, Pocket PC 2002 opens the Today Screen, the website browser for Wikipedia, but not included with Firefox and the Brave browser. Wikipedia mobile is used for Google search and more, the shutdown screen is used for the left screen alongside the Pocket PC 2002 logo.
