Frequent Crashes
Anyone else getting frequent and random crashes in the game? It takes me 10 or more tries to clear a level because it crashes so frequently. I don't even know where to begin to look for what's causing the problem.

Thanks to the recent release, I've gotten enough crash dumps to decipher why these are happening. I'll have a fix out within a day or two. I've got the root cause identified, just need to implement and verify the fix.

I surely do not have a modern CPU (i7-6700 + GTX970) but I don't remember the loading times were so long. Maybe it's win11, but it takes 45 seconds to get to the menu.

45 seconds to get to the menu is not normal, no. It should be near instantaneous. you might have to do some tracing to figure out what's going on, because I haven't seen that happen.

SOLVED! thanks for the tip!
turned out that I had a corrupted VC redist 2022 installation. And Steam constantly tried to install it again without luck, every game startup.
I've removed it using the good old "windows install clen up tool" and now Darwinia startup is as fast as it was!
