Long version:

The greatest, and currently not only, game collectors group out there.

This group is for the people that collect games, just because... they`re entertaining. ^^
You`ll need a bit of a starter collection to join: 750 games.

What do we do? Well, brag about our grand collection like a bunch of elitist geeks of course. ;)
Or discuss which games are better, like Pong or Virtua Tennis. =P
Maybe even discuss the interesting designs used in all the games we've seen so far.
There`s always bound to be someone around for co-op games.
Or someone to ask if there`s any pretty gems to add to your own collection of course.
Old or new, every game is its own experience, and every gamer has their own experience.

Anyone with VAC / Game / Trade bans won’t be part of the group.
So: don’t “cheat” or “steal”, and keep a tight lock on your games vault. ;)

There's a new group for anyone who wants to join a game collecting group but hasn't reached the 750 yet; The Inclusive Games Collectors.

For the fanatics out there there's also a 1k collectors group; VIP collectors.

If you're ninja, you're probably already aware of this group; Removed Games Collectors

Keep your account safe

Security alert
Lately more and more people seems to have been compromised by someone asking them to vote for their team on a website, the site itself doesn't look out of the ordinary, but as soon as you click on something, you get a page where you're asked to login, which looks quite like the original one, do not do it if you value your account.

If you think someone is trying to steal your account, go to their profile and report them.

Always make sure to login first on the real Steam website, so then you'd get a popup asking you to login via the Steam API, without having to use your credentials, while keeping you safe.

Stay safe, and keep on gaming.

New entry limit for invitation

December 22, 2015 - TGC> The Games Collector | 27 Comments

It's 2015 people!
Thus it hath been decided.

Starting January 1st 2016, the new entry limit for our group will be raised from 500 to 750 games as per Steam's count.

Current members who have less than the new entry will stay in the group next year, no need to worry about that.

And as usual, VAC bans are still a brand of evil.

I'm kind of trying to avoid 1k as a limit because there's already a few 1k and 2k groups around.

In the coming years we might end up with a max of 1500 and then see from there what Steam has in Store for us.
Plenty can change in a few years...
