Coyle Girelli’s Out of This Town, which featured songs from sessions with the legendary Mac Davis will be getting an expanded new chapter. Following the 2025 Sun Records release of Out of This Town, the album will return in a deluxe edition on October 30th featuring never-before-heard Sun Studio recordings, intimate demos, and a rare alternate version sung by Mac Davis himself.

Founded on Beale Street in 1946, Lansky Bros. became synonymous with the style of music icons like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King. Just down the road, Sun Records was making music history at 706 Union Avenue with trailblazers including Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

Sun Records today releases It’s Been So Long, a collection of rare and previously unreleased recordings from The Gentrys that brings a largely unheard chapter of the Memphis rock band’s history to light. Produced by Knox Phillips, son of Sun Records founder Sam Phillips, the album captures a new incarnation of The Gentrys as the group explored a different musical direction in the late 1960s and early 1970s, pairing their Memphis roots with softer harmonies and the influence of the era’s West Coast sound.

On the eve of his 80th birthday, legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb is opening his piano bench to reveal a treasure trove of never-before-released songs. Today, the Songwriters Hall of Famer and multi-GRAMMY winner announces Yours For The Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb, out October 23 via Sun Records. The album brings together previously unheard songs Webb wrote across decades of his extraordinary career that, through circumstance or chance, were never released, but which remain deeply meaningful to Webb and his musical legacy.
