The team at RE+ strives to create an experience that embraces, recognizes, and celebrates the value of diversity and inclusion in all areas of the energy industry. Our programming showcases thought-leading content related to renewable energy, and we also strive to represent and highlight all parts of the industry in regards to race, ethnicity, gender, and age. Our goal is to ensure that, holistically, RE+ Events are sustainable, diverse, and forward-looking events for the industry.
The RE+ Community Partner Program collaborates with organizations across the renewable energy landscape to host Affinity Group programming and networking events supporting traditionally underrepresented groups like Women, BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, Hispanics, Indigenous Peoples, and Veterans in the clean energy industry. This program provides a space for attendees to come together to network, unwind, and be in community with industry peers who share an identity important to them.
The Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy (formerly Indigenous Energy Initiative), an Indigenous-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, provides critical technical and financial assistance and wrap-around services tribes are currently seeking in order to build their own capacity. The Alliance provides this critical support through four key pillars, built upon a strong and deep foundation of Native American cultural values.
Asians in Energy – As the fastest growing multicultural segment in the U.S. with an outsized impact on the consumer marketplace, Asian Pacific Americans have a genuine opportunity to emerge as a powerful economic force to influence energy and telecommunications issues and trends while enhancing economic vitality, protecting the environment and strengthening our communities.
Black Owners of Solar Services (BOSS) envisions a future where thriving Black-owned businesses lead the clean energy sector, driving equitable access to sustainable opportunities. Our goal is to create an inclusive world where we all flourish, leading the way towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for all.
Latinx in Sustainability (LiS) is determined to address and reduce the barriers that have led the STEM fields, and specifically the environmental and climate fields, to be among the least ethnically and racially diverse across all disciplines. Our goal is to establish and facilitate pathways for underrepresented and under-resourced Latinx communities in an effort to diversify the sustainability workforce.
Out in Climate connects and empowers LGBTQ+ professionals advancing climate solutions, building community infrastructure that strengthens workforce resilience and enables cross-sector collaboration.
LGBTQ+Â climate professionals are visible, supported, and influential, and the climate field is more resilient, collaborative, and effective as a result.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We have made a commitment to ensure that all educational programs provided by RE+ Events must represent the diversity that the industry values and aspires to recognize. Industry panels, webinars, and education sessions that lack diversity do not meet the standards of our organizations and will not be confirmed until we have enough participants that rightfully represent the renewable energy industry.
RE+ Events, Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), and Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) are committed to ensuring that every person has a place in the future of the renewable energy industry. We believe that having a diverse workforce creates a more resilient organization – one that supports a strong, equitable clean energy industry. We envision an industry that is committed to fostering a culture of inclusiveness at all levels.
