Diabetes!!!!

So last week I had a bit of a scare.... I went in for my Gestational Diabetes test and failed the blood sugar part and had to go in for the 3 hour blood draw at the hospital. Dan was soo good to me! He came home and took care of me and consoled my irrational sadness. The one thing he was not so good at was looking on the bright side. I told him that if I did have GD than there was a good chance that I would be induced 1 to 2 weeks early. His response... "But I want a big baby!" To him the idea of having an 8 lbs baby 2 weeks early is not big enough. He's aiming for 10+. Maybe he doesn't realize that he isn't the one giving birth!

There's no place like home...

For Thanksgiving Dan and I went to Spokane for Daniels first time visiting ever! He had thought that Eastern Washington was going to be horrible after going to the TriCities (sorry erin) but found out that it is not such a bad place! I had not been back there for 3 years so it was fun to drive around and see what had changed. We also go to meet my 3 month old niece Evee for the first time and found out that she is the best baby ever!

Here is my cute mom with all of her grandchildren. It was fun to be around all of them.

27 Weeks

Baby Grange just keeps getting bigger. I can't believe how active he is these days. Last week I watched him trace his foot across my stomach and then procede to hit and kick everywhere imaginable. He seems to love my right rib area the most. I feel like I'm getting an internal beating everyday. 3 Months left to go!

PS. I measured my stomach 2 weeks ago and I had gained 16 inches already!

Hurricane Noel

We went on our first cruise ever last week! The best part was that we didn't have to pay for it since Anne won it from work. The original itinerary was to go to Jamaica and then to the Grand Caymans but apparently the beginning of a hurricane is not something you want to mess with so we ended up going to Key West Florida and to Cozumel.

In Key West there are Rosters all over the island just walking around. Apparently they used to fight them but when it was outlawed they were just let loose. As you can see, Dan is trying his best to fit in.

Since Dan missed 4 days of school he had to take pictures of different plants so I got to be his plant model. You can see me working my magic above.

This is our spacious ocean view suite. Dan really liked the sting ray on our bed and was trying his best to imitate it.

22 weeks down... 18 to go! Dan felt the baby kick today!

First Baby Necessity

We officially have our first baby item... our cute Travel System from Graco! My mom (Judy) was in town last week so we went out and got this super cute stroller and car seat and the pack in play will be coming soon. I know it's not a big deal but it's so exciting and it's sooooo cute! Our little boy is going to love it!

19 Weeks

Getting bigger everyday! I can feel the baby move. He seems to like his space and will push at anything that is intruding. He's a Grange already!

Baby Boy Grange

This last Friday we went in for our ultrasound. When we got there the technician hadn't shown up and we were the second appointment of the day. There was no way I was going to leave without seeing our baby and luckily she showed up soon after! It was so crazy to see something moving inside me. The little guy would not stop moving! Things also started to fit together as the technician pointed out he was literally stomping on my bladder. All the bathroom breaks are finally making sense! He was so squirmy but sooo cute! He's perfect! I can hardly wait till February 22 when he will finally be here! (he's so cute, he even has my chin!)

14 Weeks

We wanted to be able to see the difference in how big (fat) I'm getting. Our little baby keeps growing!

FINALLY!!!!

Since our family and friends have been trying to convince us to start one of these we figured we could give it a try! We've been married for almost 10 months and are enjoying life in Provo Utah while Dan finishes school. I'm working for a light therapy company and so far really enjoy it. We are expecting our first baby in February and just found out it's a little boy. I'm sure this blog will be more dedicated to our little baby than to us.
