Connor's 2 Month Letter

Sweet Connor,
I don't think I could love you anymore than I do right now! You are unbelievably perfect. You are smiling and cooing all the time and giggling whenever you see me or hear my voice. I love it. You also LOVE your sister and she loves you. She gets up every morning asking for Connor or "baby" when I pick her up out of her crib. When we go downstairs she runs as fast as she can to find you. She makes sure you have your "uh oh" aka pacifier and "night night" aka blanket at all times. You don't even like pacifiers and she can't understand why because she loves hers! She wants to "hold" you and when she does you are all smiles. It warms my heart. You have this side smile going-- it's pretty cute.

I'm still nursing you every 3 hours during the day. Makes it hard for Mommy to leave and get anything done (especially Christmas shopping) but you are nice and healthy. You did have your first cold this month and I hated it. Your cough sounded horrible and it broke my heart. You also spit up alot after each feeding. Cam never did this. I guess each child is completely different because you are very calm and relaxed. You are sleeping on average between 8-10 hours now. (yippee!) I usually bath/feed you around 7 and then you sleep until 3:30 or 4. Two night again you slept until 5:30(!!) It was awesome!

I love to just watch you. I really can't believe you are 9 weeks old. It makes me sad that the time has gone by so fast. You are so big that it's starting to hurt my back to hold you. You are wearing 6 month clothes and they are getting snug. I laughed the other day because your Gap jeans are 6-12 months and they fit you perfect in the waist and I just roll up the bottom. Anyway, the other day the nanny got Campbell dressed for me and brought her downstairs in YOUR jeans. The best part is they fit her perfect (waist and length)! She wears 12 month clothes (but I buy 18 mn). You guys can wear the same size! LOL

Stats:
weight 13 lbs 10 oz 82%
lenth 23 1/4 in 65%
head 15 1/2 in 62%

We had a little scare at your 2 month check up but after seeing the specialist everything seems to be okay. We spent Thanksgiving and almost 2 weeks in Coleman visiting Honey, Pepe', Aunt Ammy, Uncle Bubba and Madden. We had a great time. You also were baptized on December 11th at Chapelwood Methodist. It was a very special time for our families.

I found a picture of my dad when he was your age. You look just like him. A lot of people say you look likr me (secretly so excited since Cammy looks identical to RJ) which makes sense because I look like my dad.

You are such a pretty boy. I should say handsome but I like pretty. You have dark blue crystal clear eyes and blondish brown hair. Your eyelashes are longer than mine.

It seems like just yesterday I was HUGE and pregnant. Little did I know you would be such a big baby. I thank God every day for you and Campbell. You are my world and there is nothing I wouldn't do for you. I love you son!

love,
Mommy & Daddy

Happy One Month Connor!

Happy One Month Sweet Boy!

Connor,

WOW! It's your first one month letter. I can't believe it! You are the most precious, sweetest most cuddly little boy I have ever seen. You fit right into our little family and I can't think of life without you! I'll admit, before you were born I was worried about how I could love someone else as much as I love your sister-- well, from the moment I held you for the first time it was love at first sight! I can't keep my eyes off of you I love you so much.

You are a whopping 10 1/2 pounds right now. Nursing is going great and you love to eat :) You are waking up every 2-3 hours like newborns are supposed to but on your 4th week exactly you slept 7 hours straight! holy cow. A couple of nights this week you have slept 5 hours but then the next night you are back to ever 2-3 hours.

I can't tell exactly who you look like. One minute you look like Campbell and then the next you look like your Uncle Will and the May side of the family. You have dark olive skin like your Pepe', Daddy Don, and myself. Beautiful dark blue eyes and a round little face. I think you have your daddy's nose. One of the first things I noticed was your tiny little hands-- they look exactly like your Papaw's. I wish you could have met him. You are such a big baby! You are taking in about 4 ounces every 3 hours. No wonder you are so big.. ha!

You are sleeping in our room for right now and will surely outgrow your adorable bassinet soon. Your sister LOVES to come find you. She's protective of "baby" and anytime she hears you crying she comes running to your side. You two are going to have a great time growing up together. She loves to help feed you a bottle or "hold" your pacifier for you (steal it is more like it!). We are working with her to be gentle. She likes to pet you for a few seconds and then knock you around to make sure you are still alive. Great. Like I said, we are working on that. Hopefully by the time you can actually read I will have this under control.

We had your first Halloween. You were a cow--too cute! You gave me quite a scare when you rolled over for the first time (back to tummy) on day 20! I think it was totally a fluke because it scared you too!

Your daddy is on cloud 9 about having a friend to watch football with and to teach how to play sports. He's already so proud of you! We love you so much Con Man and can't imagine our lives without you :)

Love,

Mommy and Daddy

"Drive Me To Drinking"

WOW! I have so many different posts I would like to write about but I guess they will have to wait. Tonight I am going to post about my day today. Where do I begin? Connor is waking up every 2 hours (hence the no posts lately) so normally I guess people would normally start this post when they got up around 7am. Well, my night/day/night/days are all a blur (as I'm sure it's supposed to be with a newborn). Connor was up at 11:30pm, 2:30am (Campbell decided to join him for this feeding so he didn't feel left out-- yippee!) 4:30am, 6:30am and then Campbell got up at 7:15am (just as I laid back down). Since I am nursing, RJ can't really help with the feedings. Campbell was extremely fussy for some reason all morning (I hope she's not getting sick) and wanted me to hold her while Connor decided he would cry because he was still hungry. after eating just 15 minutes earlier. Did I mention he weighs a whopping 10lbs now?!? at 3 weeks? He eats and eats and eats.

Around 11:30am I was about to lose my marbles from all the crying and whinning. I called RJ to vent and instead of a "pep talk" like I needed (thru all the tears) I got a "uh huh... I'm sure it's not that bad... I have to go I have a meeting in 5 minutes." I get off the phone and am pretty livid. I mean, heck, I needed him to say ANYTHING but what he said. You know what i mean, right?!?

I then get on the phone with my friend Lane and begin to vent to her about RJ (I know, not a great wife but I needed to get it out). I noticed when I got off the phone I had 7 missed calls from RJ and a text. I thought, "oh, he's calling to apologize". Then I read the text-- my car died on the side of the road, come get me. WHAT! No, I'm sorry for being insensitve? Not only did his car die and he needed me to come get him but he WASN'T in a meeting at all which means he told a big fat FIB to get off the phone. ha ha.... Well, this is the part of me I need to work on. I didn't call him back for about 15 minutes just because. I know, shame on me. But sometimes you have to let them ponder on their actions. Of course I went to pick him up and had to give him my car for the rest of the day. The camero has finally died and gone to Camero Heaven RIP (not after we put $500 in it 2 weeks ago because it died the day before Connor's arrival). {Did I mention it's a '95 and probably not worth $500?!? I will say my sweet hubby loved that car and never wanted to sell it. He's definitely got his monies worth out of it!}

So, after a long and I do mean LONG afternoon of dealing with this car towing auto shop headache, the crying babies all morning, the no sleep the night before, the dog throwing up everywhere, trying to order birth announcements, my computer crashing and me losing ALL of my most priced pictures of the kids (hoping someone can recover them once I come up for air and can get it to someone), Campbell acting out and successfully trying to hit Connor every chance she gets, Connor leaking poop into his carseat and all over his clothes while we drive Joan home in rush hour traffic and they both scream the entire trip home from Katy {in traffic}, Campbell throwing her dinner all over the floor, and my engorged boobs that have not been emptied in over 7 hours (I know, probably too much TMI) I completely understand how someone came up with the phrase "drive me to drinking!"
