It's been a really long time since a post has been made, and believe me, I know! Many people have made me well aware of the fact that they do not appreciate the lack of posts. My grandpa, Opa, is one of them, and he really doesn't appreciate it! I know how you feel, you become emotionally invested in families of blog's that you follow, and nothing is more frustrating than when they stop updating. I am now "that guy". For that I apologize, I have had every intention of posting about what is going on in our life and things just got busy! But, the truth is, I enjoy doing this, and I am going to try and be better about keeping everyone informed about what is going on with us!
I guess we should start way back when I stopped. My monthly posts stopped at six months, and that is when things started getting busy. Easton and Emerson started crawling and there was no turning back. This past year has been such a joy and watching the two of them grow and interact with us and each other has been amazing!
They are both so stinkin cute and have very different personalities. Emerson is our wild child. She loves to climb and is all over the place. She's pretty tough too. She likes to pick on her brother (she's been walking since the new year and he hasn't). It entertains her to take a toy away from Easton and "run" and then laugh. Oh yes, that's her. I keep thinking,
you better enjoy that now because once he walks, it's on. She loves to dance, I mean LOVES to dance, and she talks all of the time. She has a handful of words that she says. I love it when she talks to me, knowing exactly what she is saying, and I don't have a clue.
Easton is our more sensitive child. He LOVES to cuddle (which makes me happy) and gets his feelings hurt easier. He enjoys being silly and loving on Emerson. He is also stubborn and can have more of a temper when things don't go his way. Nothing like getting on to him and then he laughs. Then I have to try not to laugh because the face he makes when he laughs is contagious.
As of yesterday, they are both walking now. Easton is still in the wobbly faze though. I love it when kids first start to walk. They throw their arms up in the air and take such little steps. They look up at you for the praise they so much deserve!
They turned one on January 6th and we had a party with so many of our family and friends to celebrate them. Never again will we have a party at our house. It was pretty crazy, but a good crazy!!
Basically we are eating up every minute with these two! The love they have brought is indescribable! Thank you so much for being patient with the lack of posts, and I will try my hardest to be better! With that being said, just assume that no news is good news!!
