INT. PICK N' SAVE PRODUCE SECTION - DAY

GREG is pushing a CART with ETHAN scrunched in the back. AIDAN is seated in the kiddie seat in the front.

AIDAN
Dad, can we get some waterlimon?

ETHAN
MMMM Waterlimon!

GREG
I don't know boys. Maybe not this time.

AIDAN
(pathetically)
Ooooooh.

GREG
Maybe when we get food for July 4th. With the parade. Watermelon's aren't on sale yet.

AIDAN
I love Waterlimon. Have you had waterlimon?
(before GREG can respond)
You take water...

ETHAN
...and then you cut up the limons into pieces...

AIDAN
..and put them inna water. With sugar.
(smacks lips)
YUM YUM!

ETHAN
MMMMM!

GREG
Oooh. Lemonade?

AIDAN
No. Waterlimon.

GREG shakes his head, picks up two lemons and tosses them at ETHAN.

AIDAN
YUM YUM!

ETHAN
Yay!

Aidan to his mom as she feeds Zoe: "Mom, can we keep that baby all day and all night?"
Jen: "Yes. We can keep her all day and all night."

Aidan Presents

In Episode 1, Aidan explains that his brother Ethan is still sitting up at the dinner table because he wouldn't eat his food. And that his friend Elise lives in the jungle and broke her butt.

Ethan and Aidan's Prayer

Driving away from Children's and Aidan gave a rather loud whiny harrumph. "I just want mom and Zoe to go to home," he said. And he started to cry.

Ethan started to cry, too. He never gets to see mom every day, he said.

So we prayed tonight really hard that they're released soon.

The Circus

The usher walked to the front row of the floor-level seats and turned to Jen. "I don't know where you got the seats," he said, "but they're the best seats here."

Jen, Ethan, Aidan and Elise sat down and drank in the Shrine Circus. The coolest things about these pictures are 1) The elated kids and 2) all the glowing lightsabers in the stands behind the performers.

(Note to investors: buy stock in glowing lightsaber companies)

Aidan Turns 4

Aidan turned four and had a whole bunch of fun with family. Uncle Josh, teeny weenies, a Madagascar cake. I think you'll agree.

Catch Up 2: TRICK OR TREAT!

Here's how it happens at my house. Trick or treating in West Bend is fantastic. They have a street so busy, it's like a several-block-long party! Lines of kids heading up to houses, and the owners really were excited. Two women got out glasses of wine next to a tub of candy. One house really made use of it's gothic-like architecture to have some fun.

Sometimes you forget that there's days and places like this anymore.

Long Day here. Pumpkin Farm, Powder Puff Football, and a Birthday Party. No Powder Puff pictures, but some of the others...Elise Turns 6 Sunday! Wow.

Apple Pickin' 2007

In a bold display of parenting, Greg missed Brett Favre's record-setting performance against the Packer's archrivals, the Vikings, so he could pick some apples with his children. I would compare that to something Bat had done, but Bat knows better than to watch a football game when he can get all the highlights on the news.
