The Painful Truth

About a year ago I wrote a post about my obsession with cardigans. And since they are such a huge part of my life, I found it necessary to write yet another post about this particular item of clothing. The other day someone asked me how many cardigans I had. I wasn't sure, but said 10-15. I knew it couldn't be more than that. So anyway, this morning before work I had a little extra time, and as I was wearing a cardigan I decided to just count how many I actually had. To my surprise, I passed the 10-15 mark. And then I just kept counting and counting, until I realized the true amount: thirty-four. Yes, THIRTY-FOUR cardigans. It is a sick obsession, and I honestly had NO idea I even owned that many. After this morning, I finally realized that I have some serious issues. But do you think that will stop me from buying more? I highly doubt it.

* This image is me with all of my cardigans with the exception of one (which is the one I wore to work today). You'll at least notice that I have a fairly wide variety of colors.

Dead Sea Salt

Today I was at the mall on a mini shopping spree. And let me just say how much I hate those kiosks where they harass you into trying their product and buying all their crap. I always give them a wide berth and avoid making eye contact with any of them. As I was walking around, I noticed the guy at the kiosk where they sell salt scrub and lotion made from Dead Sea Salt. He was on the prowl so I went on the other side of his kiosk and acted as if I was really interested in looking at something else. Well he walked around and asked me if I wanted to try a sample of lotion and much to my surprise...he had an accent. Next thing I know I am getting a whole demo and I don't even understand anything he is saying but I love it all. He tells me he is from Israel. Hot. I was getting sold like no other, and before I even knew what was happening he was at the register with salt scrub that was $100 and about ready to ring it up. I am not even sure how I let that happen. Oh, did I mention that he had gorgeous blue eyes with long dark eyelashes? I guess I was lost in his eyes? Lucky for me, I regained my senses enough to say no thanks and was able to walk away (although with some difficulty).

The Wisdom of Vicki

I know that I always post crap about how people are continually making comments about me getting married or getting a boyfriend and I am learning to just laugh at things like that and not let it drive me crazy, but this story tops all the ones I have ever told about this topic. And that was a serious run-on sentence. I work with a hilarious Filipino woman named Vicki and we are buds and eat lunch together almost everyday. She usually makes something amazing to eat and I always bring pasta. She is always telling me how she wants me to find a nice man and get married. She was telling me all this last week at lunch and she was saying how great of a wife she thinks I would be. But then she said she only feels bad for my future husband for two things (which I had to brace myself because I was afraid of what she was going to say), and I will quote them: "I feel bad for him because all he'll ever eat is spaghetti and he'll have to hear your burps all day." She was dead serious. We both just looked at each other and started laughing hysterically because we felt the truth of her words. So if any of you know of any hot single men between the age of 21 and 30 who likes to eat pasta and loves it when a woman can burp better than he can, let me know.
