Water games at pack meeting

Just water fun at cub scout pack meeting! You can always have happy scouts when you combine water and games. Christian is a wolf and has a great pack. The families of the boys are very supportive and help anyway they can. The water fight was quite fun even if the men were hiding behind the van.

FoRt

After all the cleaning the kids did yesterday apparently they thought they needed to make the biggest mess of them all. The fort is really neat though. Each of the kids have their own room inside. Hopefully, they will get SOME sleep tonight.

Summer day rain

There is nothing like the smell of summer time rain. Definitely enjoying our windows open today!

Dixie Rebels Champions!!!!

We really enjoyed going to our 1st football game of 2011. We are super excited for the upcoming Friday Nights. We LOVE football and are super excited to watch the Hurricane Tigers on their new field. After the game of course we had to visit Neilson's Frozen Custard. It is the VERY best ice cream place EVER!!!! I remember trips to Las Vegas as a child living in Beaver when most of the time we stopped at Neilson's. It is a family tradition.

More blankets!!!!

We had 2 sewing days in Hurricane. We were able to spread the word pretty well. There were so many thoughtful ladies that came to help. I was even able to talk my kids into helping for a couple of hours. Cory's mom came too! All in all after the 2 days we have about 45 blankets in steps for completion. There are quite a bit of steps but once they are started it makes the work go quickly. There are only 120 left to make so Fillmore and Richfield better get ready for their sewing days. I am so grateful to Jackie for putting this together. Cory said the guys really look forward to getting their blankets.

Fireworks!!!

Erick, Yana and Paige joined me and the kids to watch fireworks at the ball fields in Hurricane. It was a great time until the mountain caught on fire. Not so fun after that.

Hurricane Patriotic Program

Hurricane City put on a WONDERFUL patriotic program. It was the 1st annual and I thought it was amazing. They honored all the 5th graders in the Hurricane Valley who earned the Great American Award. They gave Jessica a certificate and a free YUMZ yogurt. Murna Trump did such a great job! The decorations were wonderful, the speakers and performers were just perfect. I really enjoyed the program. My heart was swelled with pride for the red, white and blue! I am so grateful to live in this great land.
Christian... well he falls asleep anywhere!
