Benson's New Toy

Benson LOVES to jump. They have one of these jumperoo's at Misty's house (daycare) and evidently Benson just loves it. So I felt compelled to get Benson one. And well.... he does love it. He will stay in it for a long time and just wear himself out. Kailey is having a hard time keeping her hands off the "new toy" but who can blame her. It looks exciting and plays music!

Benson is his new jumperoo!
Kailey (who thinks she is still small) in Benson's new jumperoo. Oh - and Poppy too (have you noticed that Mama is in VERY few photos on this blog?)

Benson is very good at sharing (right now at least) and happily plays in the exersaucer while big sister Kailey checks out his new jumperoo.

Sweet Slumber

So for whatever it is worth - I really like taking pictures of my sleeping family. Maybe it is because for those few fleeting moments everything is peaceful.

I'll start with this one of sleeping Poppy (who should be watching Benson)
Followed by my tangled up babies
But wait - what is this on our bed
It's Kailey who has learned to cover her head with covers (thanks Poppy)

Our Lego Maniac

Kailey is becoming quite the creative lego builder the past few weeks. Well...maybe it is more accurate to say that she has a wonderful imagination is naming her lego creations (which all seem to take on very similar shapes). Either way, she is having a great time creating and we are having a great time watching her.

Below are some pictures of her recent creations.
Building creations started at the kitchen table....
Then moved to the living room....
Poppy and Benson displaying lego creations
Now, what you may not be able to tell is that this is actually our family (Mama, Poppy, Kailey and Benson) made out of legos.

Busy Weekend Part 3 (and New Edition #2)

We followed up the weekend by heading up to Murphy to visit our new cousin! Wade Charles Williams was born on September 3rd. He is such a little one compared to the ones Brian and I end up with. Wade came weighing in right under 7 lbs while Benson came weighing in at 10 lbs.

Kailey, Benson and I dropped Poppy off at the airport around 6:30 and then headed back up to Norman. It is SO nice being closer to family and friends.

Happy Baby Wade

Siblings with baby boys (can you believe these 2 are only 6 months apart??)

Oh no - what happened to Benson?

Busy Weekend Part 2

We had a chance on Saturday afternoon to jet down to Austin to visit Brian and Julie. It had been way too long since we had seen them and Elijah is getting so big.

Kailey and Elijah had such a great time playing together. I can't wait for their new little one (due in December) to start playing with Benson.

Playing in the kitchen and cooking waffles!

Such a handsome little cutie!

Busy Weekend Part 1

We took a mini-whirlwind trip to Texas this weekend and hit up Temple, Austin, and Murphy. We saw lots of friends and family and had a great time. (Brian flew to DC Sunday - Sept 7 - out of Dallas so we used that as an excuse to go visit people.

So first stop: Temple Texas

We had a lot of fun playing with Grandpa (Kailey calls Papa), Gramma, Auntie Amy, Uncle Brandon, and of course Grant and Baby Alex.

Kailey and Grant are hilarious to watch since they are virtually the same age. Here are some pictures from the train park and Frogie Alex.

First out of the shoot come Grant...
Quickly followed by Kailey...
And bringing up the rear is Poppy! (I think he was having the most fun)
