I love to see the Temple....

What a wonderful week.

First I was able to take the M's and Alana up to the Ogden Temple open house which was beautiful and so tender. Alana noticed a beautiful rainbow coming in from outside that was on the tile. The volunteer mentioned that only the children seem to ever notice the rainbow. I love the feeling that I have whenever I'm near or in a Temple. The girls loved being there and I'm so thankful they were able to go inside.

Eric and I also had the privilege of going with Alexis to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple the Saturday after she turned 12. She researched her own family names and was able to take those names with her. It was such a beautiful experience being there with her and Eric. We are so proud of the young lady that she is!

The end of summer

We had such a busy summer with lots of company! We loved it and we had a great end of summer weekend including: helping send off BreElle to BYU, late night movie at Finchpark, cousins and staying up way to late!

Alexis turns 12

Alexis is 12!!! She's been so excited to turn 12 and we had such a good day celebrating her! We started with presents, breakfast, a movie, cake and ice cream and of course dinner of her choosing.

Alexis is such a sweet girl. I love being her Mom and appreciate her strong spirit so much. She called and set up her Bishops interview all by her self without even being prompted. She also graduated from primary and received her Faith in God Award! She has such a strong testimony and it shines through everything she does!

Happy birthday Alexis. We love you!

My little Cheerleaders...

Being the youngest Alana gets lots of cheering tips daily! I always love it when they make up cheers and dances. It's so sweet! This is BYUs first game of the season....

Megan was busy playing outside because it was a nice, sunny, Saturday! 

Early mornings

Sometimes I struggle sleeping or I wake up at very early hours. This particular Saturday morning was one of those times. I had already read my scriptures and Ensign article and I thought I might as well get up, get ready and go to the Temple! Oh, how thankful I Am that I did. It was such a beautiful morning, no one even knew I had left and returned (even our company)! I love the peace I feel each and every time I attend. I love that we live so close to so many temples and for the opportunity I have to go and serve!

Lexi's bday bash...

Lexi's turning 12. Her birthday falls on Labor Day this year and so she wanted her party a little early! She planned it all by herself and she knew exactly what she wanted. A fire pit for roasting s'mores, an outdoor movie, lots of food and a couple games. Her plans were great but the weather did not cooperate. We had checked the weather all week and thought we would be fine but a storm blew in a lot faster than the weathermen predicted.

   The girls were such good sports. They never complained. They roasted s'more in the rain. Yes, Eric is amazing and even built a fire in the rain! And we moved the outdoor movie into the garage and it was perfect! Alexis had a great time and we sure wish she would stop growing up so fast!

You've got a friend in me...

I love these two! They have such a special bond and their friendship is so refreshing! They can spend hours together everyday and it's just never seems to be enough in their eyes. They love cheerleading, writing music, jumping on the tramp, making loom bands, giggling, and the list goes on and on!

Bubble Fun

Growing up I always played with the plastic bubbles that you blow up using a little straw. We saw a package of the bubbles the other door and I knew the girls would love it! They had such a blast and it sure brought back some good memories!

Alexis starts middle school...

Oh how I wish I could freeze time and keep my little ones just as they are right now. But each day they are a little bigger, a little more experienced and a little closer to leaving home.

Alexis is so ready for Jr high. She's so responsible and so wise for her age. It's going to be a great year and I'm excited for all the new experiences she will have!

Oh yeah, we walked the kids to the bus stop, took pictures and didn't leave until they were gone! I love that there are other moms just like me that didn't hesitate to be at the bus!!! No complaints from the kids either!

Also, Scripture study time moved up by 45 minutes today and waking up at 6:55am was hard on these little ladies but they didn't complain!

Alana starts tap and ballet

This sweet little lady has been waiting on the sideline for years and it was finally her day! She was very determined to dance with Miss Kris and has been talking about this for months! She loved every minute of it too! She was so cute at class and listened so well. She is going to be a terrific dancer! We couldn't be happier for her to live her little dream!!!

National Cheesecake Day take 1&2

This is always one of my favorite food holidays to celebrate! The girls look forward to it each year and because the Cheesecake Factory celebrates for two days we did too! Well, just Alana and I. Due to the girls different schedules the A's and I went on Wednesday and then the M's, Alana and I went on Thursday. Poor Alexis was white water rafting on the Colorado River having an experience of a lifetime!!!! We missed her but glad she got to go!

Another school year

It seems like the girls just finished school, well they did just 3 weeks ago. But here we are at the beginning of a new grade. Megan is now in 4th and Mackenzie is in 2nd. Alexis still has another month before she starts Jr. high...

Oh how they struggled going to sleep the night before. They were excited and so nervous. I was relieved knowing they each have a good friend in their class and a good teacher. I just know this is going to be a great school year!
