I love blogging and especially reading other peoples blogs! I only wish I was better at updating my blog! For Thanksgiving we went up to Washington State with my family! We had a wonderful time there and I have some great pictures but they are on Marcus's laptop so I've decided that tonight will be the night that I will blog about our trip! I have put it off long enough!
So the last few weeks have been very busy ones... partly cause I am the mother of two small children and partly cause it is Christmas time and it is just a busy time of the year! We have almost finished our Christmas shopping! Yea! We aren't doing too much for the kids cause they really don't get it yet and it will be soon enough when they do!
Josie is in the process of potty training... as I am sure any one that has been through this it has its good days and its bad days! For the most part she is doing great but we still have to remind her a lot. I think this new era has made her more curious about the human body. She has asked me on several different occasions... what is that? what is that? .... whether it is on her own body or on Hayden's. I try to tell her like it isn't a big deal and move on but kids can be pretty funny when it comes to bathroom stuff and body parts! Hayden is now just more curious about the toilet and is constantly wanting to play in it. He sticks his hand in there, splashes it around, and then wipes his head. He is funny and doesn't get why I get mad at him and shoo him out all of the time. He also thinks he gets a "potty treat" every time Josie does. They are fun!
Christmas time is so much funner with kids! They get excited about everything! They have been loving our tree! They take the ornaments on and off all day long.... good thing we got cheap ones! On Saturday, we had our ward Christmas breakfast complete with Santa. The kids wouldn't go to him of course but after he gave Josie a treat she said, "Mommy, Santa is nice!" It was cute! Also that morning, there was a firetruck that came around our neighborhood with its sirens on and Santa was on the back throwing candy! I ran outside with Josie to wave and get a treat! I thought that was such a fun thing! Well I will be back shortly to post some fun pictures!

New Mexico Trip: October 12-19
I had the chance to take Josie and Hayden to New Mexico to go see Grandpa and Grandma Hadlock and the rest of the Hadlock's and Beth and her family. We flew there and it worked out great. The kids were so good flying! They loved it... On the way home as soon as we got in the plane Josie started saying Up Up Up! They loved looking out the window and seeing all the different things. Everyone on the plane was so good to help us out too. Both times when we landed Josie shouted, "I did it mommy!" It was so nice to spend a week with Marcus's family. They were so good to us and we did lots of fun things! Josie and Hayden love it there and it is nice for me cause the weather was gorgeous and there yard is all fenced in so I can pretty much just let them roam and play. Marcus wasn't able to go with us and he was very missed! But we had a great time and I think he enjoyed a little time to himself. I never take enough pictures but here are a few that I did take! Thanks so much everyone for taking such good care of us! We love you guys!
Hannah, Josie, and Braxton having so much fun!
Pumpkin Patch Outing
We went to the funnest Pumpkin Patch with everyone. The kids had so much fun and actually I did too. There was so much to do. There were lots of animals to see and games and rides. One of my favorites was this big slide built underground into this hill.... I wish I had some pictures of it but I guess I was too busy playing. Josie and Hayden LOVED feeding, combing, and petting the goats. They got right in there with them and could play with them.
Josie with another goat. There were brushes to brush the goats and Josie kept dipping it into their drinking water and then brushing it... don't know if they like that but she was loving it.
Playing in the Sandbox.
Whenever I turned my back Josie and Hayden would out to the side of the house to dig in the sand. They had a blast playing there... Josie kept saying she was making cakes.

Catch Up TIme: Birthdays!
This year with Josie was so much fun! She turned 2 on September 8th. This is such a fun age. She loved everything about her birthday! We actually had 3 parties for her cause it was so much fun. One with Grammie Pammie, Aunt Laura, and Uncle Matt when they came up to visit the week before her birthday. Then one at the park with all of my family. And one with her friends. She loved it all... the presents, family and friends, being sung too, everything.
We didn't do much for Hayden's just presents and cake and ice cream. He didn't care too much except he LOVED his cake and ice cream!

The Last Week or So!

My mom has been watching my brother Joel's kids, Rachel and Owen, for the past week while they were in Costa Rica. They will mostly likely be moving there so I wanted Josie to be able to play with her cousins as much as she could while they were close. She loves, loves playing with them. One of the days (and the only day I took pictures) we went to the Air Force Museum at Hill Air Force Base. The kids loved seeing the planes up close and they also loved collecting rocks from there.
I was busy getting dinner ready and Josie was watching Dora. I looked over and Josie was holding Hayden... and he was just sitting there watching Dora with her. I thought it was so cute! I am glad they are little pals!
Hayden just learned how to clap a couple of weeks ago. He was clapping at Josie and some neighbor kids riding their bikes:) I love him!
Hayden eating with a metal fork.Who gave it to him? My guess would be Josie. Who didn't take it away and is taking a picture of it? Your guess is as good as mine, neither Marcus nor I remember taking this picture. I guess he didn't hurt himself with it and it is a cute picture!

Temple Trips!
Josie was enjoying her cookie and Hayden was looking at ittrying to figure out how to get some of it.
Outside the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. We decided to take the kids and go to the Temple Open House. They did so good and loved it so much! I was actually really surprised cause I thought they would be too little. I told Josie right before we got there that we were going to see the temple and so when she saw she kept pointing excitedly and saying "temple". She enjoyed the pictures of Jesus and she mooed when she saw the oxen at the baptismal font. Hayden was good through the whole thing but I think his favorite part was the cookies and water:)

These pictures with Marcus and the kids are outside the Provo Temple. Some good friends of ours, The Shepard Family, had their two adopted children sealed to them. I went to the sealing while Marcus stayed out with Josie and Hayden. They had fun looking at the fountains and flowers. By the time I got out though they were hot and ready to go home but I did manage to get a couple pictures of them first. Josie wasn't too happy about the picture taking but Hayden seemed to like it.Saturday, July 18, 2009
Here Come the Pictures!
Here are the pictures from New Mexico. I will do the others over the next few days cause there is too many!
Hayden and mommy overlooking the tram lines and a big part of New Mexico.
This was really a cool thing too. I think it is the largest tram in the US.
Josie and her buddy/cousin Kailani. (I don't know if I spelled it right)
They had so much fun together and they look SO cute!
Diggin in the dirt at Grandpa's.
Josie, Kailani, Oleah, and Braxton.
They were playing for a good long time... dirt is so much fun!
Marcus and I on our "date".
We went to a Cirque show can't remember which one... but very, very good!
We went with everyone but we got to leave the kids with a babysitter! It feels so good to get out occasionally without them!
