My Opinion.

In my opinion we are entering the best time of the year.

Fall.

Fall is the start of all things good. Here is my list of the best things that coincide with my favorite season and in my opinion make it by far the best season.

1. Football season. Seriously is there anything better than football season. Go Irish.
2. The end of hot weather. Honestly it's about damn time I can mow my lawn without looking like someone just dumped a bucket of water over my head when I am finished.
3. Soon to be the end of having to mow my lawn.
4. Leaves changing. This is a double edged sword because it also means I will be raking leaves up soon. Which by the way is not so easy with the help of a toddler and a dog.
5. Football season.
6.Hunting season.
7. The first dusting of snow on Timp.
8. Hoodie weather.
9. Football season.
10. The smell of winter. Now you don't get this every where. If you have ever lived in Utah you know this smell. It is always in the air on Halloween.
11. Halloween. I used to not care for this, but since becoming a dad I just love to see all the little booger eaters dressed up. The little princesses are the cutest. You kids over 12 stay off my porch.
12.Soup. I love soup, but can't eat it when it's above 50 degrees outside. It's just not happnin.
13. Snow and the resorts starting to open.
14. Thanksgiving.
15. More snow and more football.
16. Snowshoeing.
17. This one will wrap up the year and start off 2009. Christmas and New years day. New years day is by far my favorite day of the year. For me anyway it doesn't get any better. I get to sit around all day and watch college football bowl games. Lez knows this is the one day that I will not do anything I am asked. I sit all day. I watch football all day. I eat everything in sight all day. It truly is glorious.

There you have it. All things great about this time of year. Now who else is counting down the days until the start of the college football season?

We drove up to Tibble Fork the other night and had a lot of fun in the water. I don't think all the people who were fishing near us appreciated Rayce trowing rocks into the lake though! It was a little colder then we planned on and it even rained, thus the visor on Lanie's head. I actually think that the rain made it more enjoyable for Rayce, what kid doesn't love puddle jumping? it made for some cool pics.

The Princess Pea

Lanie has lots of nicknames at our house: princess, peanut, pea, agent P, peanizzle... you name it we have probably called her it, as long as it starts with a "P". I really have no idea why we chose the letter P but for some odd reason it stuck. She will probably have a complex about "P" things but that is a risk we are willing to take!
This is probably a bunch of senseless info but for the record, I am planning on printing my blog yearly like a little family scrapbook so as long as I want it in the scrapbook, it makes it to the blog. Sorry for the boring info!!

Mike is so in-love with his little girl it is so cute. He has informed me that Lanie gets whatever she wants whenever she wants for the rest of her life. We will still see if he says that when she becomes a teenager.
She is sitting up on her own and rolling over, no crawling yet though. I find out tomorrow how much she has grown! It is amazing how fast they grow up. Isn't she a cute gush-baby!! Oh and yes we are still trying to find her neck!! (who needs a neck when you are this cute)

WATER FUN

Here is RAyce at the Gateway in the fountains. He is such the little poser! He learned this one from his Dad!!

"Someday I want one of those". These blow up water slides are lots of fun, except for when mom decides to go down and lands on my arm and bonks heads with another little kids. What a clutz!

My Opinion.

When I was 19 my dad taught me a valuable lesson. I was complaining about my boss and saying that he was kind of a douche bag.

Mike - why can't he just be a cool guy.
Dad - because as soon as you think he is your buddy it's easier for you to feel like he owes you something, when the only thing he owes you is your paycheck. It's easier as a boss to not have your employee's expect everything from you.

So, in my opinion, the less you expect from someone the less they will let you down.
