Learning Letters

My two year old can read!

Ha, ok, no, of course he can't.  But he sure knows his letters.

ok, these videos are LONG.  He goes through the whole book, so it's just the same thing throughout the whole video. No need to watch the whole thing.  Unless you just really miss Calin and need a 7min Calin fix :)

He LOVES to spell out words.

We have lots of games we play with words, identifying letters, and matching objects to their word.  He loves them!  He had capital letters down months ago, and this week I started working on lower-case letters with him.  He picked them up pretty quickly.  But gosh, d b p h    m w n u    t f   tricky stuff for a two year old.

I love watching him read

Mama

Oh how I love being a mom!

usually she says it over and over, but in this video it's only in the first couple seconds.  No need to watch the whole thing :)

"mama" is the first and only word Capri has said, and we hear it all day long :)

DPT {our next big thing}

IMG_7981

This fall Jordan will start graduate school in Mesa, Arizona at A.T. Still University.  He'll be getting his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and we are So excited!

In the beginning we hoped he would start grad school in 2011, then we hoped he would attend ISU (here in Pocatello) in 2012, but at the beginning of 2012 we didn't feel like ISU was right and we were actually hoping he would start at A.T. Still in 2013, so when he was accepted for 2012, it kind of threw us for a loop, but then I think of this quote, and know that this is the right time, and that we're going to the right place.

So we have one month left in Idaho.  Then 4 months in Florida.  And 3 years in Mesa!

We've been looking forward to this for so long now and we can hardly wait to start this next adventure.

Yay for Jordan!

And to be entirely honest, I think I'm going to LOVE Arizona.

Colton & Maddy

Last weekend we took a trip to Utah.
We stayed with the Wu's while down there and Calin had so much fun playing with their kids!  (BIG thank you to Kristin & Will)
Jordan had meetings for work all day Friday and I was throwing a bridal shower for my good friend Amy who is getting married next week.

AND I took some engagement pictures for Colton & Maddy on Friday. (Colton is my sister-in-law Mickie's brother)  They are such a fun couple! And I took so many it has been hard narrowing them down, but I know lots of Colton's fam reads our blog and are dying to see a sneak peak, so here you go :)
They said they didn't want many kissing pictures, so they might hate me for posting this one, but I just love it too much not to include it.

This is how most of the shoot went - these two are always laughing.
so. much. fun.
