our white christmas

We had a White Christmas in Heber this year!
My mom gave all us kids a family home evening packet with the nativity story with all the characters, jammies, slippers and snacks. We took ours to Heber with us to do on Christmas Eve.
That night we read the nativity story, and as the story went on, Devyn hung each part on the tree. The kids wore their Christmas jammies and crocheted red slippers with bells, just like my Grandma Hunt used to make!
Beau loved all his new toys and had his mouth open with excitement the whole morning!

Devyn got everthing she wanted and more!

There was plenty of snow for making "Frosty" with Grandma Secrist!
Devyn thought for sure he was going to come to life!
Snow angels are one of Devyn's favorites!
She even tried it face first!
She ended up getting a bunch of snow on her face and down her shirt! burr!!
Beau is obsessed with being outside, even in the cold!
He had so much fun throwing snow!
Rides with Grandpa, so much fun!!
The kids loved to be tossed by Jason!
They could go on all day if he would let them!

We had a wonderful White Christmas!!
It's so nice to be back home!

Festivities

Temple lights
Gardner Family party.
Devyn was an angel in the Nativity just like last year.
Beau was too big to play baby Jesus again this year, so he settled for trying on a halo and watching.
Santa made a visit to the party and had a small gift for all the kids!
Devyn had been looking forward to his visit all night!
Beau on the other hand was not so sure this was the REAL Santa!!

Hunt family Christmas Party 2009.
We enjoyed a yummy Mexican dinner followed by a horse drawn hayride with caroling and Christmas lights.

The horse really liked my jacket!
He was rubbing up on me while we got a family picture!
We ended the night with the annual Book (gift) exchange with the cousins!

Preschool fun

Preschool has been so fun for Devyn these past few months.
December has been extra fun with a field trip to krispy kreme and a holiday program.
She took a tour and learned all about the making of delicious krispy kreme doughnuts.
She even got to enjoy one and wash it down with chocolate milk! Yum!
Beau was excited to tag along, eat a doughnut and wear the paper hat!

To end the semester Devyn participated in her preschool Christmas program.
She was asked to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance and got to hold the flag.

She performed Christmas songs, including, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and jingle bells, as well as showing off some of the things she has learned these past few months.
She loves preschool and can't wait for next semester to start!!

Rock Solid Fun

Last Saturday my twin nephews {pete & andy} turned 3! They had the coolest party at the Rock Solid plant {owned by their uncle} where the kids got to play in the sand {mountain}! They loved every minute of it!

This {mountain} of sand was huge! Devyn loved climbing to the top like all the big kids!
Beau's favorite was throwing the sand!! Surprise, surprise...this kid loves throwing everything!
{most of the time at his sister's head!! sorry devyn!}

Not even a lunch break was permitted...
hot dog in hand as she continued to dig and play!
Finally, some sand in the mouth...
Which he did not like!!
After all the messy fun, they were stripped down and taken home for a nice bath and a
long
long
nap.
Seriously, this party was so much fun!
They need to have a park like this!!

it's a....

We couldn't be happier!!! Devyn is so excited, she has referred to the baby as a girl all along! I had big plan {that started before the pregnancy} that I would go the distance and not find out what we were having! I figured since we had one of each already, that I was prepared either way. Plus, I've heard it's an exciting experience to wait! Jason was not so keen on this plan, he wanted to know, so as I was laying there during my ultrasound {alone, because I had to keep my appointment from him a secret, he said he was going to find out even if I didn't!} I just couldn't do it! It was driving me crazy to sit there and wonder when I could just KNOW!! So, with Jason's birthday a few days away, plan b hatched...It would be the perfect birthday present!! Tonight he opened his present {the ultrasound picture} and was surprised! It was perfect! And exactly what he wanted!!

Thanksgiving 2009

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Heber. Jason's dad was drawn for elk this year, so the boys went hunting and got one!!
The kids spent some time playing with Becky's homemade play dough, which they loved! Just look at Devyn's tongue hanging out!

Thanksgiving Dinner was delicious! And you can't forget the olive fingers, it's tradition!

Marshall and Beau loved hanging out by the dogs!

Devyn collected pine cones for Grandma's fire
Ate a little snow
threw some snowballs

Helped Grandma make a snowman.

found the perfect tree...

This was my first experience cutting down our own tree and it was so much fun!
We have adopted it as a holiday tradition!
Now the countdown to Christmas is on.....

p.s. we celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday!!! crazy!!!
time flies when your having fun!
