Daddy Duty

I left Parker with Jason today to run to Sonic happy hour and when I got back this is what I saw. Yes, Jason had "tattooed" a six pack, pecks, a heart with Mom written in it, and some flames on his wrist. I'm pretty sure Parker added his own touches too, but I seriously laughed so hard when I walked in the door. P was so happy and proudly showed it off as soon as he saw me.

Parker is changing quickly and getting funnier by the day. He has the best sense of humor and is extremely goofy. HE NEVER SLOWS DOWN! We bought him a potty last week and he has pee peed twice in it! I didn't plan on potty training yet but he has been telling me when his diaper is dirty so I thought I would give it a try....and it worked!

Fried Green Tomatoes

No, I'm not talking about the movie, even though I love it and have watched it too many times to count. I'm actually talking about the first thing I cooked out of my very own garden! Jason and I planted our first garden this year and it has really been fun! We have tomatoes, green beans, okra, squash, eggplant, broccoli, cauliflower, cayenne peppers, green and red bell peppers and some other small stuff. I picked our first tomatoes tonight and made fried green tomatoes with dinner and they were SO GOOD!

On another note, we have been busy, but when we are not we have been spending a lot of time in the pool! Parker is quite the little fish! He hates any kind of floaty and just wants me to let him go! We went camping this past weekend and he stayed in the water ALL DAY LONG. I am taking advantage of the pool and wearing him out really good so he'll take a long nap :). Jason has been swimming with him after he gets home from work so that I can cook dinner. It is great!

Parker is getting so big, and starting to really look like a little boy. I am positive he is the cutest little boy in the world :)

Potty Training Genius

I am officially beginning the journey of potty training. I know it sounds crazy because Parker is only 11 months, but he gave me a really clear sign today. In the morning I immediately change his 10 pound (seriously) diaper, and sometimes let him run around free before I put the clean diaper on. Well, this morning we were in his nursery and he was enjoying his freedom when I heard a strange noise. I look down at Parker and he has strategically placed himself over the air conditioning vent in the floor and is peeing a perfect shot straight into the air ducts. He did not miss even one drop. He is a GENIUS. So we will begin the journey soon and I'm not even kidding.

Parker is with Daddy right now and he is supposed to be eating carrots from the pot roast I cooked. Which means I better get off of here, find Parker, clean up smashed carrots out of the carpet and see what Jason is watching on TV.

Dear warm weather,

Please come back so we can eat popsicles everyday. This made my baby really happy.

WoW

Well, Parker slept great last night! But...........we just had a huge-mongo crying spell. He woke up from a thirty minute nap (yes I knew things were too good to be true, 10 hours and a nap!) crying and screaming. I changed his diaper, tried a bath (that usually solves everything), tried to nurse him.................NOTHING WORKED. I finally got him calmed down to some Baby Einstein and eventually he gave in to nursing and he's asleep. WOW. Maybe its the FOUR TEETH he has coming in at the same time, poor guy. I should be doing something productive but the computer was a lot more appealling, so I am going to shop online, blog and blog stalk, and maybe some facebook.............................will post some new pics later.

Help!?!?!

Help! Can anyone tell me why you can click on my post and see pictures ?!?!?!?!?!? I have no idea what I did?

Sleep Deprived

Once again its been forever, and a ton of stuff has gone on. Parker has welcomed three new teeth all while fighting a virus (with 102.5 fever) and a yeast infection. So my days and nights have been LONG to say the least. He went to bed at 6:30 a.m., (yes a.m.) last night/morning, and got up at 9. The child doesn't require sleep, but its not working too well because I do. He went to bed at 10:15 tonight and after I did a happy dance I have actually gotten to accomplish some stuff. I am trying to start Spring cleaning but I feel like I get everything clean just to start over again. I haven't been able to do hardly anything with Parker being sick because he has been really clingy. But trust me, I would rather cuddle and rock Parker than clean, so I have no complaints. Hopefully we are on the downhill of this virus!

It was so pretty today and we spent it at Aunt coco's house where she fixed us girls a REALLY GOOD lunch of humus (a new favorite) and more. Parker LOVES Regan and Riley, and all three of them can't seem to get enough of each other. Riley is quite the little babysitter and Parker just goes along with whatever! I needed a relaxing day after my long night so that was just perfect. It is always fun getting together with my Mom and sisters, especially because they get to take a turn wrestling and chasing Parker!
After we got home I took Parker outside since it was so nice and snapped a few pictures. I ended up with some really cute ones. He is quite the ham these days so taking pictures is getting to be more and more fun. Sorry my pictures uploaded so weird?????????

Food Dye and Toilet Paper

I am back again, but with no pictures because I am on our laptop which has no pictures on it.
We have been busy with the usual, and Parker is still growing like crazy, doing something new every day. He is SO MUCH FUN. A few of his latest accomplishments are getting into some green food dye (appropriately a few days before St. Patricks Day), and covering his hands and face. He looked so cute :). So straight to the bath we went where surprisingly the dye washed right off! I decided to clean around the bathroom while Parker played in the tub until I heard the toilet paper roll rolling at 90 miles an hour...................Parker unrolled the toilet paper into the bathtub and was sitting in a pile of mush. After a good laugh I washed him off (getting rid of dirt and toilet paper) and got him out.
Which brings me to another new thing he is doing. Every time I take him out of the bath he just cries and cries because he wants to stay in there. I don't give in and make him get out when its time, but it is so sad! He has really figured out what he likes and dislikes and doesn't hesitate to tell you when he doesn't like something. He is a comedian so its really hard not to laugh at times when its not appropriate.
Nothing new has been going on for Jason and I. He has been working and fishing getting ready to my bro in laws fishing tournament. I have been spring cleaning and trying to get outside and walk on the days it is nice. I am so ready for this warm weather!
Lastly, I have challenged myself to cook at home for a month straight. Jason LOVES home cooking and I have slacked off a lot since I had Parker. I love to cook and Jason loves to eat, so we will see how this goes. I am going to make up a menu first so I need some quick and easy recipes that I can cook while chasing Parker around. Any suggestions?????
*I will post some new pictures tomorrow.
