Here's a gander at a work outfit. This is actually dressier than what I normally wear but I wish I had more blouses like this so I could create more 'classical' looks. I think ruffles are so romantic and feminine. Dressing like this must make me look older (or perhaps it was the excess make up) as a woman at the post office asked me about mortgages and life insurance. People usually dismiss me as being 15 years old.
I'm glad that the snow has subsided (for now) but I'm a little sad I didn't take any outfit photos whilst there was a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. Saying that, it's nice not having to de-ice the car every morning and shivering in work.
Is everyone geared up for Christmas? I was really excited for it until December hit and now I feel nothing. Perhaps I just need to do some more Christmas shopping... for myself!!! Maybe I'll get some cosy Ugg slippers or these amazing discounted See by Chloe platforms. Or maybe I'll treat myself to something from the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection at Daniel Footwear.

I almost always wear my sailor coat but I don't think I've ever posted any photos of it on here because I tend to photograph the outfit I wear underneath instead. The dress is one I bought in Hong Kong and I loved it when I bought it, but when I tried it on, my cousin said I looked very "cosplay" and it put me off. I think I like it again now. I'm just a sucker for tulle skirts.
It was bitterly cold this day. I went Christmas shopping (though mostly I shopped for myself) and I had to wait at the train station for an hour. I'm sure I almost got frostbite! Plastic Melissa shoes are NOT good for icy weather.
My hair looks really red in these photos. I wish it was actually like that. Why is my face a square?

All of my partying ensembles have a simple formula: dress, tights, heels (usually black peep toes) and chain strap bag. Last Saturday was no exception. It was my boss' leaving do. I wore my new sailor-esque dress for the meal and the mini bar crawl afterwards. I wore my bow hairtie as a 'bracelet'. It's a cute accessory and very handy if you decide to tie your hair up later in the night.
We ate at a delicious all-you-can eat Brazilian place. They came round each table with freshly cooked meats (beef skirt, pork ribs, chili chicken, beef rump, chicken hearts etc) and sliced off bits for you. Their mashed potatoes were amazing too! My throat hurt for a few days after shouting in all the bars. Why do they have to play music so loud?
I love wearing my faux fur coats out, they keep me so warm! But I do get very upset when people spill their drinks on it.

Here are some pictures of me looking dejected at 5am last Saturday. It was an impromptu night out with cheesy music and watching men dressed as women dancing. Since I hadn't got round to handwashing my tulle skirt, I decided to re-wear it. I think I could have spruced the outfit up a bit more with additional accessories, but I didn't want to look like I tried too hard.
I love how this high-waisted skirt can be worn casual (see last post), for partying and also for work. It makes me feel a bit better about spending so much money on it. Also, I don't get girls who can wander out at night without a coat! I guess that's because I'm too stingy to get taxis door to door.
Right now, for some random reason, I'm in a Dragon Ball revival. I think Vegeta x Bulma is my OTP!

This is the outfit I wore for Chinese new year last week. I saved some of my Tokyo purchases so I could ring in the lunar new year since wearing new clothes is a tradition. If there's one thing I have to complain about Japanese clothing, it's their weird sizing! The skirt just sits weird and that's really sad because I paid nearly 8,000 yen for it. Love that I found the Minnetonkas on sale at Marui though. They must be the only thing I found cheaper in Japan than the UK.
I took these photos outside a church. It felt sacreligious and I also exposed myself to a lot more gawkers.
Oh, and well done for those who spotted my new hair colour. I got it done in Japan but it's not as platinum as I wanted it to be! I can't wait to go dark again.

I hope every has had an amazing 2009! Here's to a fastastic 2010! What did you get up to on new year's eve? This year my mum had a hot pot party at ours with some family and friends. I'm the NYE grinch so I surprised myself by having a good time. I ate lots of scrummy food and we pulled the Wii out and had lots of fun/laughs. There were also fireworks, Asti and secret gin + Cokes.
The above outfit is what I wore on new year's day. My family went out for dinner before my cousin returned to London. Since I doubt you can tell, the top and skirt are both navy in colour. Navy was my most worn colour in 2009. As you can see, I wore my H&M scarf again. I go through phases of wearing one item a LOT. I think I shall take it to Tokyo with me... Eek, I'm flying on Wednesday and I'm so unprepared! I have a vague list of tourist sites and shops. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations? Can be things to see / eat / avoid saying. I'd love your help! The snow is back. I hope planes aren't grounded.
My new thing is posting pictures of food. Here are a few things I ate on Friday; soup, lobster and giant oranges.
Last Tuesday my family and I went for a 'Christmas' dinner. It's something we do every year. This year was potentially cancelled because of the snow but by night time it had stopped snowing so much. We went to a steak place and I had some delicious lamb chops!
Again, I just bundled up warm. Sorry my cold outfits are all so similar. Think I made a wrong choice with the tutu skirt though. I love it, but it's a bit small so not a good choice for a hearty meal. It's also quite itchy. After dinner, we went to the supermarket. Considering it was 10:30pm, the place was rammed. People were acting like it was the end of the world.

Last week it snowed, not lots but a decent amount. In fact, it was snowing when I took these photos. My mum and I went Christmas shopping on Sunday, it was scary driving in the snow, especially with my little car! After shopping we escaped the blizzard and had some dim sum before the treacherous journey home. Later on Sunday I went to my friend's house for a delicious Christmas dinner (lamb, but with all the trimmings) and did a random secret Santa exchange. We all bought ￡10 gifts and had a lucky dip. I took a robot USB + Darth Tater and returned with a cool TV shaped photo frame.
My outfit that day had to be changed to fend off the cold and I pretty much just piled on the layers. The coat I got for a mere ￡5 two years ago. It's four sizes too big but it keeps me sooo warm. I adore the print on my boots but they are too 'sloppy' so I don't wear them often. They are fur lined though so they keep my feet toasty and I did spend weeks searching for this particular pair before I found them so I can't bear to get rid of them.
Is everyone ready for Christmas? Wrapping presents is my favourite part but this year I've been so lazy with it!

On Monday I had a day off from work to go Christmas shopping. It was semi successful and I had a good catch up with a close friend in Starbucks so it was a pretty satisfactory day. Outfit wasn't too interesting, I just wanted something comfortable and easy for shopping. This will probably be the last time I wear this pink peacoat, I've had it for five years and I think it's time to let go. I also wore my new VW x Melissa boots. I adore them and they smell soooo good! Sadly, they attract dust and fingerprints far too easily for my liking. I ordered them online as the store didn't have my size. I was very wary though because I went a size up. I'm glad I did, I could even possibly go up two sizes. I don't want to have clown feet though...
I'm taking part in 3 secret Santas. I've sorted two out, got one more to do but I'm stuck for ideas! Help?

My friend had her engagement party/dinner on Saturday. My friend and I were horrifically late but I don't think we missed much. The food got better with each course! I had some sort of pressed terrine as a starter, a chicken leg with chive mash main and two desserts because I'm greedy. I had a lemon and vanilla syllabub with damson (SO GOOD) and warm parkin with poached pears. The waiter was confused because he couldn't work out why there was one extra dessert.
I had a delicious mocktail called 'flying fairbrother'. If I ever get married, that's one drink that'll be served at my wedding. It fits in with my colour scheme so well! Ahh, to dream... Anyway, I last wore this dress to my graduation. I tried to dress it down a bit. My oxford shoes don't really match, but I think that's why I like them here.
People said my hair(band) was Lady Gaga-y. My inspiration was actually Blair Waldorf.

I've been slacking with outfit posts lately. That was the whole point of this blog, oh well. This is what I wore for my work Christmas party on Friday. I didn't want to be too dressed up. I only put the hat on afterwards because it was so cold, but I think it looks pretty cute so I wish I'd had it on the whole time.
I had pate + toast for starters, salmon + trimmings for my main and a Belgian chocolate cheesecake to finish for my meal. Afterwards there was karaoke. They put a joke one for me and a few girls to sing. I thought it was an Abba song but it turned out to be 'Like A Virgin'. Cringe. I don't even know how the verse goes. Ugh, it was horrible!

Today I went to find some high-waisted work trousers but they don't seem to exist anywhere. Also considered buying some little heels for work but I don't know if M&S shoes would be as comfortable as my Hush Puppies (ha!). My outfit today was all black but sadly different 'shades'. I tried to make it interesting by wearing a bunch of necklaces. The jewellery made it very annoying to try clothes on!
This week I've eaten well; got lots of mince pies, went out for a royal Thai meal on Tuesday and had Chinese hot pot on Wednesday. Work has been tough because people have gone on holiday. I need to do their jobs as well as mine and it's hard to remember everything.
Sorry I've been SO BAD getting back with comments. I'll reply to everything on Tuesday since I should be doing 'homework' tonight and tomorrow. I can't wait to go to sleep.
