Catching Up Is Hard To Do....part 2

In JULY

We had many opportunities come our way to spend time with both sides of our families. First of was a family reunion on my mother's side of the family (the McDavitt clan) at the beginning of the month.

My older sister Cassy was also able to come out for the reunion and stayed an additional week to spend some time with family and also introduce us all to her boyfriend Matt (now husband).
Not the greatest picture of all of us, but its really the only one we have...don't mind the stripling child, he got hot, so we let him roam around in his diaper.

After which she went and got herself engaged to said Matt, who is a really great, neat guy in our opinion. We are happy for her that she found a wonderful man to spend the eternities with. They will be getting married on September 1st ( Mount Timpanogos Temple).

Towards the end of July we were blessed to be able to make a trip out to Utah to see Ryan's sister Katie & her husband Cory sealed in the St George Temple.

We were also able to hang around and have ourselves a little vacation while we were out in Utah. So after the sealing we went and hung out in the Salt Lake area at Ryan's parents house. We were able to enjoy lots of various activities while we were out there and Brysen had several firsts as well.

First Airplane Ride

First Time Playing in soft grass! and without worrying about chiggers (nasty little red bugs)

First time riding in a go cart (it was a first for me too!)

First time playing with cars! He loves them! These just happen to be the ones Ryan played with as a kiddo.

First time climbing a mountain and playing in the stream!

Enjoying the Pioneer Day fireworks with Aunt Kate!

Ryan shooting off some firework for us in the street ->

Family Pic, atop the Conference Center in Salt Lake City

Playing workshop with Aunt Kate

Playing with Sadie! She is an awesome dog! Extremely well behaved

 Awesome Mountain Views!!!

This one is a picture of the mountains from the front lawn of the Jordan River Temple.

The rest of these pictures are from up in the Cottonwood Canyon Mountain area.

Catching Up Is Hard to Do....part 1

I feel like there is so much to update on here that I don't even know where to start....so I will just go month by month and do a summary....sounds like a plan to me, we will see how well that works.

In APRIL
We had the temple open house for the Kansas City Missouri Temple. What a wonderful experience that was to be able to help out with and be a part of furthering the knowledge of the gospel in our area.

We also had the opportunity to take a friend of ours through. As well as Ryan's parents and sister Katie & her husband, came out to visit during the open house so we were able to go on a tour with them.

Finally having a temple in our area and so close to where we live is exciting and truly a blessing!

On MAY 5 & 6 the Dedication Sessions were held. We were able to attend the Sunday morning session at our local stake center while a friend of ours watched Brysen for us. Later that day after the last session was over, Ryan had the wonderful opportunity to help clean the temple and prepare it for opening the following Tuesday. They had to put all the furniture, decorations, carpets, etc. back into their proper places and everything cleaned and organized back to perfection. He stayed and helped out for several hours while Brysen and I walked around temple grounds and talked with people from different wards and stakes that were also walking around the grounds enjoying the peace and tranquility of the temple.
We also watched a terrific thunderstorm roll in, at which point the rain came we were allow to wait for Ryan inside the temple in the waiting room. All in all it started our month of May off great!

Ok, so its been several months since I have updated our blog with a post of any kind. Pretty sure that means I am slacking horribly. Its been interesting adjusting our life around our little boy, our life has just revolved around him since he entered it. And since I went back to work in February its been crazy trying to be a working mom, working Dad and loving parents all at the same time while getting help from those around us in watching our little monkey. I say that because Brysen has turned into quite the ball of energy.
Here are a couple pictures from the past several months....I will try and do some more updating of the blog later this week/end.

Brysen Dean Rosenlund (born Dec 16, 2011)

Well since our little baby boy wasn't acting to keen on coming on his own we finally decided to go with getting me induced. So on Thursday evening (Dec 15th) I was admitted into the hospital and started on the first round of my induction process and hooked up to an IV.

My Labor/Delivery/Recovery(aka LDR) Room

By 10pm they started me on picton.....

This is my chart around 4am (Friday 12/16)

And by 10 am my water had broke and I was in full on labor before you could say the word. They quickly got me back in bed and got my epidural started. Yes, I got one
despite the talk about originally not wanting to, I was just in a whole lot of intense pain really fast and they needed to relive some of it fas
t because I was beginning to hyperventilating. SO they also put an oxygen mask on me, which the smell of it made me want to hurl. Which is weird to me, but anyway within 2 1/2 hours after my water broke our little baby boy was born.

Brysen Dean Rosenlund was born. He weight 7lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long.

Still here and waiting...

Well we are still at home waiting for this little boy to make his appearance. It seems he is way to comfortable and doesn't want to come out yet. My due date (Dec 7th) has come and gone (or at least one of them, they changed it so many times) and we have been in standby mode since our last doctor's appointment Tuesday evening (Dec 6). And really we have been on standby mode since a week before that.

Briefing of Dr Appt- November 29th:
My doctor was sure I would go within 72 hours of my appointment if not sooner, due to being dilate to a 2, with a bloody show. She also stripped me that day to, to help the process along.

Briefing of Dr Appt- December 6th:
Again my doctor was sure I would go into labor within 24 hours. I was dilated to a 3 now, bloody show. She stripped me again in hopes to help things progress faster....again to no going into labor for me yet.

Contractions have been bearable and in all reality hardly noticeable unless I am paying attention to them. My body is really wearing down on me and I am ready to have this little boy. Its not like I am sleeping much at night right now anyway. I can't get comfortable and with this consistent cold I can hardly breath without coughing up a lung in the process.

Me @ 40 Weeks

And from what I have found out in the last week from talking with my mom, she had what is to be considered fast/short labors on all 5 of my sisters....downside to that would be that her water only broke on its own once and that was with my youngest sister. So at this point I am hoping (and planning on even begging if I have to) my doctor will just induce me this week at our doctors appointment. Because to be honest with you, I can't take being pregnant much longer and I want this little boy in my arms. And I think Ryan is getting tired of my complaining, he's been an amazing sport this past week putting up with me while I have been off work. I am so use to being busy and working full-time, its been hard for me to adjust, slow down and just take things one at a time.
