Thanksgiving, Christmas and Everything In Between

Christmas was very different this year. We usually have a packed house at Dale and Pat's, but not so much this year. We had a total of 7 for Christmas morning, but then had a huge group for lunch! Brooke had a great time opening presents and finding that Santa left his hat behind!

Brooke spent Thanksgiving at her dad's, so I went to White Oak for the day!

Dad announced at Thanksgiving that he was engaged to Karla. They came in town and spoiled Brooke and I at the mall!

Weekend of Fall Fun!

We spent Saturday at the Pumpkin Patch in Flower Mound. What a great place! Everything is free, except for food. We couldn't have asked for better weather. In fact, we were wishing we had shorts and t-shirts on!The kids in the maze of hay!

Saturday evening we went to the Trunk of Treats at church and had a great time! Brooke loved the air castles and then attempted the rock wall climbing in a dress and heels! I was impressed.

State Fair #2

I went with a few friends to the State Fair again, but this time it was to enjoy a concert by Miranda Lambert! We had a great time (minus freezing to death) as always :)

Life Since March

So I've been slacking quite a bit in the blogging department. Sorry! Life has been crazy over the past few months. Taylor and I are no longer together, but things are still good between us. Brooke started Kindergarten and is loving it! Actually, I don't know who is enjoying it more: Me seeing her in the hallway or her enjoying making friends and Mrs. Morgan. I continue to love my job and co-workers. I am the only self-contained teacher in 2nd grade (everyone else is departmentalized), so I have had a difficult time finding my place this year...but it gets easier everyday! We are getting involved at church and really enjoying our Small Group. It is exactly what we needed!

I will try my best to stay caught up on my blogging :) Here is our life from today until March when I last had an entry. Enjoy!

A day at the State Fair of Texas with family! We had a great day :) We met Becky in downtown and decided to take the train to the fair. What a great suggestion! Brooke loved it and I think that was her favorite part of the day. We then met up with family from White Oak, Granbury and Carrollton at the fair. All Brooke wanted to do was ride the ferris wheel and eat cotton candy. She got both! The day ended with a train ride home, hotdog dinner in downtown and a little shopping. Thanks Becky for such a fun day!

Jay and Gerri (Jon's parents) came to visit from San Diego. We enjoyed lunch with them and great conversation!

On Brooke's actual birthday, I surprised her with going to Macaroni Grill. Little did she know, her favorite people were waiting for her...Camille and Breanna!

We began Brooke's birthday party by eating lunch at Chili's with Anne and then heading to the bowling alley. She had a great turnout of friends and a great time! Can't believe she's 6 :)

Happy Birthday Taylor!

We enjoyed a few days at Dale and Pat's being spoiled. Brooke helped Pat cook, played with Will and enjoyed spending time with Gee. We ended the trip by stopping at Becky's for lunch and a little swim time!

We spent the 4th of July in Granbury going to the rodeo and visiting with Leslie and Brian.

Brooke was the flower girl in Kallie's wedding in June.

Taylor had a business trip in Pismo Beach, CA at the beginning of June and I was the lucky one to tag along. It was a trip of a lifetime and I was very thankful that he invited me!

Mom and Bubba came to visit and have a tea party with BrookeHappy Birthday to Breanna! We went to the Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum concert in Plano. Not to mention, it STORMED the entire time :(

I spent many weekends at Taylor's and him putting me to work. His place looks great!

We spent Easter at the ranch with Taylor's family and had a great time as always!
