Happy Birthday to Ryan

Londyn started out the gift giving with one of her handdrawn cards.  What a thoughtful girl!

Ryan was genuinely excited about the present he’s opening here.  I assumed he knew I’d gotten it but I was wrong.  This is a universal remote!!!  Who would’ve thought it could bring so much excitement to one guy.  He is loving that he can now control all our electronics with just one remote.

See the joy?

With Ryan turning into the traveling man that he has become we splurged and got him these noise cancelling headphones.  Apparently they are amazing and make traveling on a plane an entirely different experience.

And for dessert: homemade angel food cake with fresh raspberries, strawberries and whipped cream.  YUM!

We love you Ry.  Thanks for all you do for our family.  MWAH!!!

Easter Weekend

On Saturday we got to go on an Easter egg hunt at the Brawner’s house.  It was definitely the nicest day of the year so far.  Perfect for celebrating the Savior’s resurrection.

Easton loving the bouncy house slide.

The Brawner’s backyard gave entertainment for all.  The boys had so much fun on their court.  Someday we’d love to have something like this in a home of our own.

Londyn mid-slide looking gorgeous.

This year I bought an egg decorating kit that I didn’t realize was NOT the typical dunk the egg in dye kit.  It was sponge painting on the eggs but the kids said a number of times that they would rather have had the regular egg dying kit.

All the kids in their Easter best.  I found Londyn’s dress a couple months ago but decided 2 days before Easter that I’d love for the boys to coordinate with her.  After looking the whole mall over the very last store I went to had just the selection I needed to find a purple tie for each of our handsome boys.

This was my first attempt at the braid rosettes.  I wish they were slightly closer together but now I know for next time.

I wish that Ryan had felt well enough to join us for all the Easter festivities but he spent the whole weekend with a nasty flu bug.

Camden is 7!

This crazy guy is already 7!  To celebrate Camden wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner.

Here’s Cam enjoying his birthday song.

And here’s Cam enjoying the treat they brought out with the song.

Present time!

Cam wanted a new bank since his other bank was pretty small.  He looks like he’s ready to get loaded!

045

Camden’s cake request this year was a chocolate Pokemon cake with whipped cream on top.

049

We used the sparkly candles that keep relighting after they are blown out.  It was pretty comical watching Camden try to get them all out for good.

Easton is POTTY TRAINED!!!

006

Hooray!!!!  Where potty training fit in with me being pregnant, Easton was the slowest of the kids to complete this task but considering he’s now done and he’s just over 2 and a half we’re still super excited!  While we were in Arizona for Spring Break things really started clicking for him.

009

We tried buying him some new Cars underwear but the size 2/3 seemed more like 5’s on this little guy.  We tried again and had some success with these awesome Buzz Lightyear underoos!  Here he is loving them and showing them off for the camera.

Nice job Easton!  We are so happy you did it!  (And thanks for giving Mom a break from diapers for a bit!)

Beverly Hills Trip

A girls trip to California was definitely overdue for me so I was thrilled with how great this weekend went with so many of my best friends!  I was lucky enough to get my hair done by Katie first thing when I got there.  After that we all drove to Beverly Hills where we had dinner at Joan’s on Third (a restaurant featured on the Food Network).

The yummiest part was the cupcakes!  SO GOOD!!!  The shavings must have been a raspberry white chocolate and the filling was raspberry as well.  MMMmm wish I could have another!

Here is the view from our fancy hotel suite in Beverly Hills.  We thought it was a huge perk to see the temple.

We spent Saturday shopping in the Fashion District.  It was fun there!  I got lots of great things: a diaper bag, a baby blessing dress, shoes for Londyn and some jewelry and hair accessories.

After our shopping excursion we had dinner at Johnny Carino’s and then headed back to Melissa’s for more girl bonding time.  Sunday I got to go to most of church which was so great.  It’s so fun to see everyone there.  California definitely still holds a special place in my heart.  Can’t wait till next time!

Such a Graceful Girl

Jan, Feb, March 2011 461

Londyn had her first professional ballet pictures and recital!

She danced beautifully!

Londyn’s teacher Miss Sarah gave her flowers at the end of the recital so it was really exciting to get even more from Daddy when it was all over.

024

Just a day before her recital Londyn and one of her brothers had a shoving match which resulted in Londyn’s first NEED for some blemish coverage.  It probably just looks more like I don’t know how to do makeup.

Great job Londyn!  You really are turning out to be a very graceful girl.
