News from Germany

Hey Everyone! I am in Germany at the moment with Ron and Natalie at my cousin Karl´s. We are having such a GREAT time. So far we have been to the Matterhorn, Bern, Biel and Gletterens all in Switzerland. We had great host; Barbara and Erich Schätti and Regula and Theo Haeberli. Now Eric, Alisyn and Brooklyn (Alisyn's niece) have gone on to Paris and Ron, Natalie and I are having some 'down time'. We had a wonderful market day in Wangen and spent the rest of the day in the back yard on lounges having a real nap under a walnut tree. Yesterday we took a boat across the lake of Constance to Romanshorn, Switzerland then a cog rail train to the top of a mountain called Haiden. We ended up in Brienz, Austria for dinner in a Greek restaurant called the Poseidon. Today we will go to Felsberg, Switzerland to visit my mom's cousin, Cilly. Much more news later, when I haven't got so much sight seeing to do.
First day trip to Zermat to see the Matterhorn

Believe it or not, this wonderful old chalet has become the town library for Zermat.

On our way to Muthen, Germany we stopped at the Rheinfalls, saved two little ducklings out of the falls and were late to lunch with Karla Lehmann's family. (my first cousin once removed)

Ron, Eric and Natalie are sure enjoying the Rheinfalls.

After a wonderful dinner at Lehmann's, we went with Karl's daughter Sigrid and her husband Toni to Konigsee, Austria. This is Toni, Sigrid, Natalie and Ron at St. Bartholomew's church on the shore of the Konigsee.

Konigsee, Austria where Hitler had his Eagle's Roost resort during World War II.

Ah, beautiful Austria!
The castle, Neuschwanstein. Although unfinished on the outside, it is a spectacular castle to see!

We spent a market day in Wangen, Germany with Karl and Resl Lehmann. Natalie is enjoying the sun.

On the Lake of Thun in Switzerland. This is the castle of Thun.

Love to all of you and wish you could make this trip too! It is sooooo beautiful and green here!
