Language Resources
LITERACY RESOURCES AND LANGUAGE COLLECTION

Learning English can be difficult. The Main Library hosts ESL Conversation class on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. For more details click here or call 586-226-5040. Do you, or a friend or family member, still need more help? Click here for a brochure of literacy resources in the area.

Now is a great time to start learning a new language. We provide Pronunciator, an online database available to CMPL residents, that teaches 80+ languages – try it online or download the app. Alternatively, we offer assistance to non-native English speakers who may want to explore our international language collection or browse our ESL collection. In addition, we offer MeL's Read It! database designed for middle school, high school, and adults with a basic understanding of English but need adapted material on a variety of subjects.
