For the moment, the mystery of Stefano’s chess set on Days of Our Lives has mostly involved Chad and Belle and the sparks they’ve been throwing. But when the story circles back to Marlena — and, given The Phoenix’s obsession, we know it will! — how will she handle the blast from the past that threatens to explode her future?
July will mark Steve Burton’s return to General Hospital following his vacation. But the Jason we get back won’t be quite the same as the one who left. In fact, his time behind bars may have left him reconsidering what he wants to do with the rest of his life. (More on that here.)
Young & Restless’ Phyllis and Matt may have been the last couple we had on our 2026 bingo card, but we’re getting them nonetheless. In fact, soon-to-depart headwriter Josh Griffith told Soap Opera Digest that he sees them as sort of a second coming of Roger Howarth’s One Life to Live character Todd and soulmate Blair.
After nearly losing Beyond the Gates‘ Kat to the Grim Reaper, Tomas is ready to pop the question. But when he proposes, will he get the answer for which he’s hoping? Doubtful. He was OK as maybe a starter boyfriend but a husband? Nah. Kat needs to hold out for her own Izaiah!
Bold & Beautiful’s Will is going to come to regret not including a “not where work is involved” clause in his and Electra’s “no more secrets or lies” agreement. She was none too pleased to see that Logan had launched Shauna’s jewelry line along with Hope and Deke’s fashions, and won’t hesistate to hold her boyfriend’s feet to the fire over it!
On a related note, trouble in paradise for Bold & Beautiful’s “Wilectra” may make Dylan and R.J. reconsider their budding romance. They were always each other’s runner-up… so what will they do when they start to think that their first choices may soon be available again?
Ordinarily, we wouldn’t worry too much about Days of Our Lives‘ Holly knock, knock, knocking on heaven’s door. But since we know her portrayer has been let go — and the character’s mom is unlikely to reappear — we may be looking at the rare Salem death that sticks.
Fingers crossed General Hospital will be bringing Scotty back to the fore on the occasion of daughter Serena’s return with a recast from Young & Restless and Bold & Beautiful in the role. (More on that here.)
“Choose your battles,” they say. And since “wisely” isn’t the word that ends that sentence, Young & Restless‘ Jill (for the moment Lauren Koslow from Days of Our Lives) will fight the good fight to convince son Billy and faux son Cane to bury the hatchet somewhere other than in one another’s backs.

With even Days of Our Lives‘ Johnny investigating the tainted Coriseal, it’s only a matter of time before EJ finds himself back in the hot seat. But, being the devil that he is, he’ll probably enjoy the singeing rather than fear getting seriously burned. He’s slippery, that one!
General Hospital’s Brook Lynn has resorted to underhanded means in order to show Chase how underhanded Willow is. You don’t even need to read the preview to know how this is gonna work out for BLQ: She’s gonna lose her husband, piss off Tracy and face charges herself!
Out of nowhere, Young & Restless‘ Nate has been talking a lot about how much he misses being a doctor. That’s not for nothin’. We figure he’ll be trading business suits for lab coats faster than you can say “Get me 10 CCS of something, stat!”
Beyond the Gates‘ Madison has been stressed to the nth about the pending lawsuit against her. But we have a sneaking suspicion that her future father-in-law/occasional patient will be able to get the better of his unscupulous ex-partner.
Even though Bold & Beautiful‘s Deke and Remy are the only two gay characters on the whole show, the designer is still going to put the kibosh on the idea of them getting back together. Maybe Deke paid more attention to flirtatious Il Giardino waiter Tyler than we realized?
With Days of Our Lives‘ Chanel beginning chemo, she’s praying for a miracle to save not only her life but her baby’s. Could she get one courtesy of Lexie, whose new lease on life may be one of the extremely short variety?
Now that General Hospital has let Anna tell Felicia that “Nathan” isn’t really Nathan — and Josslyn, Liesl, Sidwell and Cullum know — it’s only a matter of time before Cassius is exposed. But there’s one goodbye he feels compelled to say before vanishing in thin air. (More on that here.)

Days of Our Lives‘ Jada and Shawn are going to admit that they are more than friends or even partners. Which is lovely and all. But with Elia Cantu departing, it doesn’t seem like we’ll get to see the romance come to fruition. Maybe if it happens fast?
