First Trailer for Greta Gerwig's 'Narnia: The Magician's Nephew' Movie
"Come to me, my power." Netflix has revealed the first trailer for the highly anticipated Greta Gerwig movie - Narnia: The Magician's Nephew, an adaptation of the first novel in C.S. Lewis' series of books about Narnia. "Long before the wardrobe, there was a lion" – Aslan. Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Greta Gerwig brings Lewis' beloved story The Magician's Nephew to the big screen for the first time in a sweeping adventure that invites dreamers of all ages to experience the creation of Narnia. Two children discover a wood full of pools that take them to other worlds. One takes them to a dead city beneath a dying sun, where they wake a dangerous queen bring her back to London. This adaptation stars David McKenna as Digory, Beatrice Campbell as Polly Plummer, Emma Mackey as Jadis the future White Witch, Carey Mulligan as Flora Kirke, Ciarán Hinds, Daniel Craig, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Denise Gough, and Susan Wokoma, featuring Meryl Streep as Aslan, the great lion who was responsible for creating Narnia. "The Magician's Nephew is a story about ordinary children on an extraordinary adventure, and [this] adaptation is just as extraordinary. Whether you grew up reading these books, or this is your first journey to Narnia, you’ll be captivated by this origin story. It’s Greta at her best: humor, heart, and wonder." This looks vibrant & exciting, and thankfully not just a retread of any of the Narnia movies previously. So far so good with this footage - looking forward to seeing more before it releases next year in theaters in early 2027. Who's down?

They're Back! First Look Teaser for 'Common Side Effects' Season 2
"Marshall - what about our plan?" "Our answers are going to be found deeper in the portal." Onward they go. 🍄 Marshall and Frances are back again for more trippy mayhem in the next season of this cult favorite animated series. Adult Swim is ready to premiere Season 2 of the series Common Side Effects, the cult fave indie animation series created by Joe Bennett & Steve Hely. This is a direct continuation of the very peculiar, trippy, one-of-a-kind series about this guy and a girl who discover a blue glowing mushroom that can heal people. But the Big Pharma guys come after them and get the DEA on them. In Season 2, Marshall and Frances are back on another new mysterious adventure with plenty of twists and turns. Voiced again by Dave King and Emily Pendergast, along with Matthew Maher heard in this footage. This teaser has some super funky imagery showing up already, and I am pumped because this series is awesome. Totally mind-bending. The first season is excellent and I highly recommend it if you haven't watched yet. This looks like it's going to get even weirder - playing on Adult Swim in early 2027. I can't wait to watch this. Who else?
One More Trailer for 'Godzilla Minus Zero' Keeps the Monsters Hidden
"Weapons that require a sacrifice... they know all about it!" Toho & GKids revealed a final official trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero, the epic highy anticipated sequel to the incredible Godzilla Minus One a few years back. Ready to smash into theaters worldwide this November! Director Takashi Yamazaki has been hard at work on a sequel ever since that first one roared its way to Oscar glory. It's 1949 just after the war, when Americans were still in Japan helping them rebuild. But they must also deal with another Kaiju – it's more than just Godzilla this time. The story continues with the Shikishima family as they face an all-new calamity. 🔥 Featuring both Ryunosuke Kamiki as Koichi Shikishima and Minami Hamabe as Noriko Oishi returning in the same roles again. This epic sequel also features Miou Tanaka, Sakura Ando, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Yuki Yamada, and Kuranosuke Sasaki. After surviving the previous deadly kaiju struggle alongside Shikishima, these beloved characters stand ready to face Godzilla once again. Keeping line with all the teasers and other trailers before this, they still keep the actual monster footage hidden. No big monster shots in here! You have to wait to watch this in theaters to experience the full action! Better this way rather than revealing too much and showing everything in the trailers. Who's ready to watch this now?

Another Impressive Must Watch Trailer for 'Blade Runner 2099' Series
"You can't even understand! 'More human than human' – that's not a slogan, it's a shackle!" It is their time now. Prime Video unveiled another official trailer for Blade Runner 2099 direct from a revealing at NY Comic-Con featuring some dazzlingly impressive new footage. This series continues to look way, way better than anyone expected. After the original 1982 sci-fi movie & sequel Blade Runner 2049, they've created a spin-off series set even further into our future. The story continues down a new path with the replicants. Fifty years after the events of BR2049, Los Angeles has been reborn, just not by humanity. Cora, a fugitive in a final bid to stop running, takes on one last identity: a Blade Runner. Forced to partner with Olwen, a Replicant days from dying, they hunt another runaway hiding a truth that could collapse their fragile city. Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer star as Olwen and Cora. The ensemble series cast includes Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben, along with Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke, Maurizio Lombardi. Just like BR2049, this was shot mostly in Prague, and in Barcelona. Everything in this series looks legit amazing so far! The more they show, the more it seems they might've pulled off something miraculous here. I can't wait to watch this.

Fun Official Fan Edit Trailer for 'THG: Sunrise on the Reaping' Movie
"Why do you submit to it all?" Gather rather for a brand new fan edit trailer. Lionsgate has dropped another trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping that is essentially just a TikTok remix made by an editing geek called "Areq" (@areqaep). This highly anticipated sci-fi thriller hits theaters in just over a month. A prequel to the original The Hunger Games stories, but also a sequel to the other recent The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes movie from 2023. Sunrise on the Reaping revisits the world of Panem with young Haymitch Abernathy 24 years before the events of THG, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. Something major will go down that will change the games forever. With an exceptional cast: Joseph Zada as Haymitch, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch, Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Elle Fanning as a young Effie Trinket, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Whitney Peak, Kelvin Harrison Jr. This fan edit also features a fun scene involving Glenn Close as Drusilla Sickle and Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner. The editing in this is a bit weird – I don't like the glowing eyes gimmick much, not really from the film either. But sure, whatever it takes to bring more attention to this film! This series is still pretty dang good, don't write it off.
Fantasy Sci-Fi Indie Movie 'The Renaissance of Oddity Todd' Trailer
"Everybody's in danger, Sonus or not!" Epic Pictures revealed the official trailer for an indie sci-fi fantasy creation called The Renaissance of Oddity Todd, an ambitious indie project made by filmmakers Noah Marks. He's also a VFX artist and went all out in crafting this world and telling this unique story. "All things vibrate." When the Sonus, masters of vibration, are hunted by the relentless World Collective, only a Sonus with a cryptic past can save humanity from a dark reckoning. What kind of powers does he have with these vibrations? Kind of looks like Neo in here. The film stars Franko Cruz as Todd, Darrin Hickok, Tamara Fay, and Piper Verbrick. Very unique concept. The longer explanation adds: In a world governed by the authoritarian World Collective, Sonus are a secretive order of scholars whose study of Vibrational Energy grants them supernatural abilities. When a mysterious event draws the World Collective's attention to their existence, the Sonus are forced into hiding, but Todd will fight back. Even if this looks a bit too clunky, I certainly appreciate the ambition and vision to do something unique and epic. Check out this footage below.
Aaron Eckhart is Under Control in Sci-Fi Action 'Model Citizen' Trailer
"Who am I?!" Warner Bros (RIP) has debuted an official trailer for a film called Model Citizen, a strange sci-fi action thriller directed by Tag Mendillo. They're clearly dumping this out there - sending it direct to VOD without much pizazz or care. Model Citizen stars Aaron Eckhart as Steven Bay, a former cop haunted by amnesia and fragments of a life he can no longer remember. Seeking treatment while working on a farm, Steven finds himself trapped within an increasingly unsettling world of constant surveillance, constantly mounting suspicion, and unexplained instincts that suggest someone is controlling more than his recovery. As reality begins to fracture around him, Steven launches a desperate search for answers, uncovering a web of technology, manipulation & human experimentation. So is he RoboCop? Or is he more like Gyllenhaal in Source Code or Dan Stevens in The Guest? This also co-stars Emmanuelle Chriqui. A pulse-pounding sci-fi crime thriller where identity is a weapon, memory is a prison, and the truth may be impossible to escape. This one looks like an instantly forgettable film to ignore – there's just no way this is any good. Have a look.

Official US Trailer for 'The Remotes' Sci-Fi Neo-Noir from Philippines
"Just keep driving." Our friends at The Film Stage have unveiled the first trailer for the film The Remotes, an intriguing Filipino sci-fi mystery thriller made by filmmaker John Torres based in Manila. This played at the New York Film Festival and it also played a TIFF this fall. The intro explains: "Fashioned in part as a response to the Philippines’ longtime president Rodrigo Duterte's 'war on drugs' and the country's resultant surveillance state, Torres's drifting, impressionistic film expands and compresses time..." Called a sinister "sci-fi-tinged neo-noir", the film follows a grieving detective who investigates two sisters linked to a sinister navigation app, only to find himself slowly surrendering to the unseen voices controlling the city and his own lingering sorrow. Starring Alchris Galura, Gabby Padilla, Julia Richards, and Enchong Dee. Director John Torres adds: "The Remotes is about how longing can become infrastructure. How grief stifles us while technology listens in & automates our choices in life. It is a world where people willingly surrender to it because it brings them closer to someone they lost, or someone they used to be." Yep that sounds pretty sad and this looks pretty good – especially for fans of slow cinema and experimental art house genre films.
Thrilling Final Game Trailer for 'Star Wars: Galactic Racer' Video Game
"I'm not gonna let you near Kestar." It's time! Now available to play. Fuse Games has revealed their final official trailer for the Star Wars: Galactic Racer video game taking us back to the world of podracing. I'm mega excited for this game! And I'm posting these trailers and breaking our own rules about video games because it looks awesome. I loved the N64 game Star Wars Episode I: Racer while growing up, featuring pod racing from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (both were originally released the same year in 1999). An update nearly 30 years later - Galactic Racer is a runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the lawless Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy. The campaign is set in the New Republic Era and takes place on the planet Jakku seen in The Force Awakens along with others like Crait. With the Empire now gone and the galaxy rebuilding, The Galactic League is formed: an underground, unsanctioned circuit where syndicates bankroll chaos and new champions are forged. We featured the original trailer late last year and a story trailer recently. This final trailer is all gameplay footage and I'm totally sold. Let's race.
Drifting in Open Space Survival Thriller 'Free Fall' Official US Trailer
"You need to get to the station core now!" Epic Pictures has revealed an official US trailer for Free Fall, a Russian sci-fi thriller that is basically a Russian copy of Gravity. This is finally getting a VOD release this month in the US to watch at home anytime, after first opening in Russia back in 2023 and also releasing internationally last year. Cut off from his crew by a devastating proton storm, repairman Max drifts alone through open space and must trust Delta dispatcher Anna to bring him home alive. But survival has never felt so uncertain – and what is she up to anyway? Directed by Oleg Urazaykin, Free Fall stars Aleksandr Kuznetsov as Maksim ("Max"), Anna Chipovskaya as the dispatcher voice Anna, along with Andrey Merzlikin. The big difference from Gravity is there's this other voice guiding him to save himself. Though it sounds like she might be trying to sabotage the station? This version features a British voicecast dubbing it into English for the release. At the least VFX look pretty good – making this actually feel thrilling. Lock in.

Trailer #2 for Marvel's 'VisionQuest' Sci-Fi Series with Paul Bettany
"Free me. And save your son." Who's ready for this? Disney launched a thrilling second trailer for the next MCU spin-off series VisionQuest, a continuation of the acclaimed Marvel series WandaVision a few years back. The series is debuting to watch streaming on Disney+ in just a few weeks for viewing in the fall. This series follows vibranium android The Vision, played by Paul Bettany, trying to regain his memory and humanity (despite being a robot). He's now in hiding, but when a bounty is placed on his head, Vision is forced to forge real connections and embrace found family if he's to survive. The series cast includes Bettany as Vision, James Spader as Ultron returning with sneaky some tricks up his sleeves, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, plus a new cast of AI characters: Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, and of course James D'Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. I admire how full-on sci-fi and technological this spin-off series is, along with keeping it emotional and visually vibrant. Seems like it'll be worth the watch. 📺
Elizabeth Banks & John C. Reilly in Peculiar Sci-Fi 'DreamQuil' Trailer
"It's changed me." "DreamQuil does the work to rebalance you from the inside." Republic Pictures revealed the first official trailer for this strange sci-fi thriller titled DreamQuil, the story of an AI wellness program gone haywire. This psychological thriller / tech horror is created by Alex Prager as her feature directorial debut - it first premiered at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival earlier in the year. A woman embarks on a virtual wellness retreat in order to get her life back on track – with nightmarish consequences. Elizabeth Banks stars as Carol, a dissatisfied mother and housewife who heads to a virtual wellness retreat hoping to get her life back on track, only to return home and discover that a robotic version of herself has taken her place. Also starring John C. Reilly as her husband Gary, who actually seems to like the robotic Carol a bit more, of course. The impressive cast features Banks & Reilly, plus Juliette Lewis, Sofia Boutella, Kathryn Newton, Lamorne Morris, Toby Larsen, and Anna Marie Dobbins. This looks way more like a play than an actual film. Not the most original idea, not the most interesting-looking film, despite the cast in it.
