A floral treat from Blossoming Gifts

There's nothing I like better than having flowers/plants in the house. They're perfect for brightening a room up and bringing a little sunshine to it. If you saw my five simple ways to cheer yourself up post then you would have seen me mention that having flowers in the house is a sure fire way to lift your mood.

Usually my flowers come from the local supermarket but I was recently asked if I'd like to try a Blossoming Gifts bouquet and of course I jumped at the chance. I definitely wanted something summery looking but nothing obvious like sunflowers. I had to steer clear of the bouquets with lillies in because I have a cat so settled on the gorgeous Orangery bouquet, which is made from pretty coral/pale orange germini, white chrysanthemums and teeny tiny daisy-like tanacetum with tufts of delicate greenbell.




I'm a huge fan of the germini - they come in so many colours but I love the contrast of the pale orange/coral against the white of the chrysanthemums and daisies.

As I mentioned, I usually get my bouquets from the supermarket and they're usually under a fiver. The price is pretty reasonable for a special bouquet like this, it would make a lovely gift for a special occasion or if you were feeling particularly down you could cheer yourself right up with this one.




The risk with ordering flowers online is that they may not look like they do in the picture on the website but there was no problem with this as it looks exactly like the image online. The bouquet arrived next day, in great condition and came with special feed and instructions to care for the flowers so you can keep them for as long as possible.



They lasted pretty well too, almost reaching two weeks and the smell filling my room for those two weeks was glorious! I so didn't want to throw these away when it was time.

Prestige Flowers Christmas Bouquet

I've been hanging onto this post for a little while now, just until it got a bit closer to Christmas, and now that the Coca Cola Christmas advert has officially aired, I think it's definitely safe to say Christmas is nearly here.

Alongside the roses were pink roses, lots of greenery and some delicious smelling cinammon sticks and pine cones, which were a really nice touch I thought and gave it a real Christmassy feel. The cinammon sticks and pine cones have also come in really handy for autumnal blog photo accessories!

The bouquet arrived really well packaged and the stems were kept moist in their own little bag. The package also came with a little box of chocolates, which are a cute touch. The bouquet lasted absolutely ages too and left my living room smelling lovely and Christmassy.

Blossoming Gifts Fall Bouquet

There's nothing I like more than filling the house with flowers, back at the beginning of October I couldn't move for bouquets of flowers dotted about the place, mainly because it was my birthday and I received this gorgeous Fall Bouquet from Blossoming Gifts as part of its flowers by post service.

Flower delivery has become more and more popular this year, all the companies are doing cheap flowers and all the bloggers are loving it. I got to choose my bouquet and I have to mention that the range that was suggested to me all contained lillies so I enquired as to whether it would be possible to have a bouquet without lillies because I have a cat and I know certain types are poisonous to them. Onto the flowers...I received the bouquet in a huge box and the bouquet itself was really well packaged and wrapped neatly. The stems were covered with a water soaked material to stop them from dying, which is such great attention to detail. The bouquet looked almost too nice that I didn't want to unwrap them and instead just plonk them in my vase but they did need cutting down. I arranged them and they looked absolutely beautiful, the roses in particular were so pretty. There were still some flowers in bud so the bouquet lasted a good couple of weeks, continuing to produce new flowers.

Before starting to PR a virtual garden centre at work I didn't really think many flowers were around in the autumn time. This was probably pretty stupid of me to think this as there are lots of seasonal flowers, some that bloom in spring/summer and others that bloom in autumn/winter so you really can have pretty flowers all year round. This bouquet specifically included gorgeous deep purple eustoma, red alstromeria and sugar flair hypericum, which are all very seasonal. The blue veronica is probably my favourite and I loved photographing this one especially.

Debenhams Summer Sun Bouquet

Is there anything better than receiving a bunch of flowers? I'm not just talking about a bunch of flowers from the local supermarket either, but a proper, gorgeous bouguet such as the next day flowers service from Debenhams flowers.

I was very kindly sent a beautiful bouquet to feature on the blog and I am so, so impressed. My sister recently bought me some sunflowers, which were gorgeous so I was going to buy myself some more, until a very exciting email popped into my inbox asking if I'd like to try Debenhams' flowers by post service.

I actually had no idea Debenhams did this kind of service. There are lots of different bouquets to choose from ranging from around the £20 mark up to the £40+ mark. There's the option to make your bouquets bigger for a few extra pounds too, so you can really get something showstopping!

Spring flowers

I think I may have been a bit premature when I said spring had sprung in a past post. It still doesn't really feel like spring is here seeing as it is dark and rainy outside, but at least I can bring some kind of spring feeling into the house using lovely flowers.

I think tulips are quite possibly one of my favourite flowers - these bunches only cost £5 for the two. They really brighten up the place, despite what Vince says about them 'stinking' the place out. Boys eh.
