If you know me personally (or maybe even virtually) you'll know I'm a big earring fan. I'm a big piercing fan full stop but I have ears full of piercings and that therefore means I'm always changing up my earring game and looking for new ones. I was getting a bit bored of the tacky cheap earrings I was previously wearing so when JewelleryBox.co.uk contacted me and asked if I'd like to try some from their website I absolutely jumped at the chance.

It was a complete surprise as to what I was going to receive, I just let them know I was a big earring fan! A cute little box arrived for me a couple of days later and inside that box were even more cute little boxes, like a Russian doll of boxes if you will. Each box had a gorgeous pair of earrings in and one even had what I thought was a ring but is actually a toe ring!

I received the Cute Bow Stud Earrings, the Small Sterling Silver Infinity Pull Through Earrings, which are super duper dangly, the Sterling Silver & 7mm Round Sky Blue Topaz Gemstone Rubover Stud Earrings and finally, the Sterling Silver Arrow Design Adjustable Midi Toe Ring, which I think I'd prefer to wear as a normal ring!

Everything is super cute for a start and looking at the pricing, it's pretty reasonable too. What really interested me were the super dangly pull through earrings, which aren't something I've tried before. They don't have backs on obviously so you can pull them through your ear to a length you'd prefer. Now, without backs on you'd think these would fall out but I've been wearing them for days at a time and they don't move at all. I've been wearing them at the longest length you can but I could pull them through further just to shorten them a bit as they did sometimes get tangled in my hair!

The bow studs are also super pretty and I've found they look really nice with the blue topaz studs. I've been wearing the blue topaz studs in my third piercing along but they're pretty big and bulky so I think it might be worth wearing them in the first piercing hole so there's a bit more of my lobe around them.

I'm not fussy with gold or silver but I do often suffer with sore ears from some of the cheaper jewellery that I do wear. I've been wearing all of these for a week now (the dangly ones off and on) and they haven't affected my ears at all, which I'm really happy about.

I'm so glad that JewelleryBox.co.uk got in touch with me because I've discovered so many different, lovely earrings and I'm pleasantly surprised that they also sell nose studs, which is great! There are some really gorgeous pieces at reasonable prices and what I love most is that the little boxes they come in can be used as storage, something which I've been looking for for absolutely ages!

Have you tried anything from JewelleryBox.co.uk? Let me know in the comments.

Matalan Bunting Necklace

Matalan Bunting Necklace
Matalan: Beaded Triangle Bunting Necklace - £8

Matalan Bunting Necklace
I've wanted this necklace for absolutely ages. I first spotted it while it was £8, then it went to half price and then it was about £1.50. Luckily, my sister works in Matalan so was able to pick it up for me once it had plummeted in price.

I probably would have paid the £8 but at the time I was feeling rather stingy. I don't think I even ended up paying my sister for it in the end, oops!

I guess bunting necklaces are still pretty popular, but these days there are so many different versions out there now. I love the beading detail within the triangles and the gold/black colour tone of this and I've already spotted some more versions in store already...it doesn't bode well for my purse.

Have you picked up any statement necklaces recently?

Timothy Roe Jewellery

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Timothy Roe jewellery and was asked if I'd like to try something from their Spinning Jewellery collection.

Now, I'm not really sure why it is called a spinning jewellery collection, but I decided to choose a pair of earrings to review.

I absolutely love earrings so I had quite a tricky time deciding which pair to get, but I finally settled on the Flower Stud Earrings, worth £19.

Although I love earrings, I think £20 is probably my limit when it comes to buying them. Unless they were real diamonds of course! For a pair of sterling silver earrings I think these are quite reasonable. They're very dainty and pretty, great for special occasions!

I never usually wear stud earrings in my first set of piercings. I can usually be seen wearing some kind of dangly earring so it feels strange having studs in but it means I don't have to remember to put earrings in because I can keep these in all the time. I actually went to bed and forgot I had them in and they didn't dig into my head or anything so I'm very impressed.

The studs aren't too big or too small, just right. I think they look lovely and I'd definitely recommend checking out Timothy Roe!

Let's blow a hole in this town

Hello! Finally I have a spare minute to blog! I wouldn't say I have been particularly busy, but after a long day at work, I then have to come home and do my fashion writing which usually means it's dinner time by the time I'm finished and all thoughts of blogging go straight out of my head when food is presented in-front of me. :)

I'm going to start today's post with an outfit post, showing you the New Look high waisted red shorts I purchased recently. I wanted them for ages and I think I mentioned already that every time I went in to New Look, they caught my eye. I finally tried them on when I got pair and they fit perfectly so I didn't hesitate before buying them. I also picked up a cute button stripe crop top in the sale for a few pounds. I seem to find a few good bargains when I have a chance to browse the sale racks and I'm not crowded by other annoying shoppers!

I've yet to wear them out of the house thanks to the weather being utterly rubbish recently. It has literally been boiling hot and sunny one minute and then raining the next! It's driving me nuts because I never know what shoes to wear or whether to take a coat or not! Make up your mind!

Last night Vince and I had a bit of a movie night. Vince very kindly brought Dominoes pizza for us (Yay for Two for Tuesday) and we watched his all time favourite movie ever, The Village. While The Village isn't my favourite movie, I've seen it three times now and do quite like it! Vince and I have been watching the Prison Break series recently so it was nice to have a change, although, we did stick on an episode of Prison Break afterwards. It is brilliant though, very gripping, and sometimes annoying, haha!

The main point of today's blog post was to show you my recent outfit purchases and a few other bits I've picked up over the past few days. First up is some lovely jewellery from Victoria and Lily. I decided to purchase Victoria's lovely feather earrings (I managed to nab the last pair, sorry!) and a ring and necklace from Lily's store. I do envy bloggers and their 'shops,' as they have no many pretty things in them. I have no idea where they get their stock from!

On my lunch break I just had to head to Boots for their latest Nails Inc polish offer! If you buy 2 of Dove's new Beauty Finish deodorant, you get a free Nails Inc polish. You can choose between a coral shade called 'Copacabana' and a pink/nudey shade called 'Havana'. I regrettably became one of those stupid customers who don't read the signs properly and picked up two deodorants, thinking that the polish came free when you brought just one. I was quickly made to go and get more deodorants so now I have 4 new roll-on deodorants. :\ I don't even know what the deodorant is even like or if it's any good, I just know if there is a free nail polish attached, I'm on it!

I'll be sure to show you what they look like in a future post, right now I'm off to sit in-front of the TV!

LoveJo Vintage

I have to admit I've never brought a piece of Vintage clothing. I think I'm a bit scared of it to be honest, but I adore Vintage inspired jewellery which is why I wanted to feature LoveJo Vintage on the blog because I love their collection of rings!

LoveJo Vintage was created in January of this year by 20 year old Joanne Roberts. Since an early age she has had a love for vintage accessories and jewellery and she wanted to combine both of her passions to create a mix of pretty one off pieces.

I can't believe that this company was only created in January, as already she has received compliments & positive feedback from leading London Stylist Gabrielle Teare, and Grazia fashion editors, as well as fashion bloggers from around the world offering their help and support. Joanne will also have a stall at the popular Glastonbury festival this year where she will sell her lovely creations in a 1950's double decker bus!

LoveJo Vintage aims to encourage individuality and style and offer the customer the opportunity to exhibit something new and different by bringing back old favourites. From the start, LoveJo Vintage has been entirely down to the hard work and input from Joanne. Some of the tasks she has under gone have included creating the rings, researching and designing a website (www.lovejovintage.com) twittering, accounting, photographing, advertising and networking. Joanne is boldly demonstrating a great deal of independence, passion & enthusiasm towards what she hopes will be a successful business.

Below are a few of my favourite items from the site!

I know how much some of my readers love Vintage, so this is definitely a great place for you all to shop!
