Days Out!

So I've been meaning to update this blog with lots of lovely pictures taken on my new camera (posted below)..but I haven't actually taken any yet. We keep meaning to go and take a long walk with the camera but we keep getting distracted by different things that come up.

I'm going to try my hand at some live photography on Wednesday so I'll make sure to post my efforts here. Vince and I are going to work together to bring gig photography and live reviews to the website. Until I can post some new jazzy pictures I've got some from my day out at Marwell Zoo and the odd one from Thorpe Park. :) I was sorely disappointed about the Saw Maze at Thorpe Park and the fact that Stealth broke down right before we were about to get on it, but other than that it was a pretty fun day. Vince won me a HUGE 'Me To You' bear from the crane machines..well, when I saw won I actually mean the crane broke on his turn so he complained and got one for free, but who cares!

Marwell Zoo was fun but so so hot and I was disappointed that there weren't any proper monkeys there! Boo!

Lot's of pics! I hope there will be more days out this summer so I can fill my photo albums. I was planning on going home towards the end of June but due to lack of funds I am planning on going home a little earlier than planned. Vince's band Statement Code are playing Glastonbury Festival this year and I originally planned to go home when Vince was back from it but I don't think I'm going to last. I need to find a job when I get back and quickly so I can save up for living here again in September. Oh the life of the unemployed.

Thanks for all the comments on my last post and thank you to my 65 followers!
Ciao!

Boredom

The boredom is starting to kick in. Apart from job hunting and sitting in front of the computer, there's really nothing else to do. Nothing that doesn't cost money anyway. On Thursday I'm meant to be going to Thorpe Park and I think that is probably going to be the last of my spending.

I'm currently in Southampton until around the middle of June. My work experience finishes on the 18th so I'm planning to move back home shortly afterwards which means once I get there, I will have to find a job for about 3 months until I come back to Southampton around September time. It's probably more sensible to stay in Southampton but we all need home comforts from time to time.

I'm not sure how many times I can clean out my wardrobe to pass the time. So any tips for fun, free things to do, let me know!

Holiday..

My friends and I are planning on going on holiday again this year, only to somewhere in the UK, but we can't decide where! We also can't find anywhere that is available in the first week of August! Eek!

I don't really mind where we go to be honest, as long as it's relaxing, that's all that matters! Although it's not yet booked, I've been buying a few 'summery' bits and pieces. :)

I wanted some simple sandals to wear - possibly with some cropped trousers and even jeans in the evening. I'm not a shorts or skirt girl. I bought two pairs from ASOS which should hopefully arrive next week!

ASOS FINN Leather Toe Thong Sandal - £10

ASOS FLIP Leather Knotted Flip Flop - £12

I decided to get the second pair in 'Nude' so it would be something different, now I realise it might just look like I'm bare foot. I can always change them I suppose. I just hope I've got the right size, I seem to change between 3 and 4.

Roll Sleeve Check Shirt - £15

The top above from New Look was on a mannequin as I walked in the store so I decided to try something brighter than my usual black colours. :)

So there are my first attempts at a almost summer wardrobe. Hopefully there will be more to follow.

This is why I hate summer..

You may think I am completely mad but I genuinely don't like summer. I don't mind it being hot, but I can't bare it when it's overly boiling and I'm sweating like a pig. I'd much rather stay inside, but don't get me wrong, I enjoy the sunshine and the relaxing beside the seaside etc etc but what I hate hate hate is summer clothing.

I like looking at the cute shorts, sunglasses, dresses and strappy tops but I physically can't wear any of it. Personally I believe it stems from years of bullying but I have completely and utterly zero confidence in myself, I hate my legs and showing off my shoulders which is why you'll always find me wearing a cardigan, leggings/tights and trousers.

I always buy things with the intent of wearing them, but I never will. I'll put a cardigan over me or put on a pair of tights. This is why my wardrobe is full of tshirts with sleeves, jumpers and jeans and why I hate summer. Looking at people enjoying the sun in a pair of shorts and a strappy top is something I'm really jealous about and sometimes upset about because I just won't and can't do it.

I guess that to really overcome it I just have to get on with it and wear these sorts of clothes but the thought of it is quite scary. Other than that I'm not quite sure how to get over it. I love the days when it's not so hot so I can dress in what feels most comfortable to me.

I'm not sure why I wrote this. Probably because I'm sick of people asking me if I'm hot or why I'm wearing a cardigan in the boiling hot weather and because I'm sick of feeling like this every summer.
