1st Day of school

Zac's 11th Birthday

Zac is 11 and he still wanted Legos for his birthday.  He had a party with friends a few days earlier as his birthday was on the first day of school!

Good bye to our big boys

Brett left for Dixie College in St. George

and Jason  headed off for USU in Logan.

I knew it would be quieter around our house, but I hadn't realized how early I can lock the front door now!

Kerr Reunion

Grandpa and Grandma made 8 quilts out of our levis and Grandpa's flannel shirts.  We girls recognized our Rocky Mountain jeans with red pin stripes, but Brian had all the cool HASH jeans.

We celebrated Grandpa, Zac and Susie's birthdays.

We played great games

and made zucchini boats to float.

It is always great to be with the cousins.

Badmitten

Our new family favorite activity is a game of badmitten in the backyard.

The boys are trying to play with Brett texting,

so . . . . watch out for the girls!

Darrell Busch, Josh Williamson, James Heppler and Jason join together after James' preisthood ordination.  These boys grew up together in the 30th ward - enjoying Scouts, camping, church meetings, activities, and some playing around on the side.

Our Chinese Girls

When we got back from Iowa, two girls from China had arrived to stay with our family for  2 1/2 weeks.  I wanted to learn their Chinese names, but was glad to call them Amanda and Sara.

We found activities to do together every day

 We all loved to play "Spot it" and they enjoyed lots of other indoor games.

One weekend we drove to Tremonton to see the country and visit Grandpa and Grandma.  The next weekend we went bowling

lazer tagging,

and stopped at Smoothie King for something refreshing to drink.  We had free coupons for all of these activites.

Sunday we took the girls to SLC to her the Tabernacle Choir sing and see the beautiful grounds at Temple Square.

For the closing ceremony, the girls performed  in a slow-motion Tai Kwondo type dance. 

Kayleigh and Alicia were "buddies" on a few of the outings and got to know some of the girl's friends.

We took them to bounce around

and have their first try of roller skating.  While here, they also played their first game of softball, , went to a rodeo and firework show, went shopping, went to an outdoor  movie, outdoor concert and an outdoor  musical, played water volleyball, and their all time favorite was camping in the motor home!

Oh Amanda and Sara how we love you and miss you.  There was exchanging of gifts, tears and hugs .
