I Really Did Try!

First off my awesomely sweetness sis-in-law is an Amazing cook. Whilst I was out at her abode She made the most scrumptious Caramel, -covered in white chocolate and sprinkled with Cinnamon and Sugar, -Apples. And even though, (since I just had my gall bladder removed), I wasn't supposed to be ingesting anything high in fat, sugar (yada yada) and such I Munched those apples and was in Caramel Apple-y Heaven!

When I awoke this morning I found that i had hankering for some of those above mentioned Caramel apples. So I set out on the impossible task of duplicating 's cooking amazing-ness.

And here is the Final Result.

oh and uh... hehe, I forgot to buy Popsicle sticks so I improvised.
I thought it was quite genius really! ;)

Not too Bad Eh? Now the real question is Are they going to taste the same!


oh and p.s. Mom helped me dip the chocolate and such. So I did have a little bit of help and I'm sure that without it they wouldn't look so pretty!

All I ever Do

All I really do is Work. Now I know for some this isn't a new concept but for me...

I do apologize for seriously slacking in the blogging department but my life is quite uneventful these days.
I have an unusually schedule do to the fact that I work a swing shift (4 p.m. to 2 a.m.) almost every night. As crazy as it sounds though I like working, as much as any one can like standing for ten hours, getting all dirty and lifting heavy boxes all the time!
At least I will be able to show off some sweet muscles when my work is all done! ;)

Any way... I recently went up to Rexburg, Idaho (where I will be attending BYU Idaho in January) to find a suitable apartment for me reside in during the said time above.

Shannon and Kevin ( my sweet sis and bro-in-law) helped me scope out some good places. It was fun to check things out, walk around campus and get a taste of where I'm going to be living and such in a couple of months. It was way fun. The only problem is now I am super excited to go and I still have to WORK for four more months. * heavy sigh* More money though right....more money right?!?!

And that's all folks. This is my life in a nutshell. For now any way!

I laughed for a Couple days or So

Whilst on said Vacation in NYC we traveled by subway.

Which is not hard to figure out, by the way.

Before story time begins let me give you a little background.

ONE: The card was faulty
TWO: It didn't only happen to me
THREE: I was in a rush
FOUR: I was just the first one to admit it that the card was faulty
resulting in pain and such

We each had a Metro Card, ( which Jen kept safely in her Purse) So each time we used the Subways we used a different card. (Meaning I didn't have my own personal , same every time, card to use)


As I was rushing through the entry gate I swiped my card, glanced down and noticed it said go and full tilt, i was in a rush remember, ran on through that gate. Only when much to my surprise, I'm oh so certain that the people behind me laughed about it for hours, The Gate didn't budge.

Head + Full speed + Bar = Monster Goose Egg (which stayed around for about a week) and Nasty Headache.

Oh And, Of Course, Total Embarrassment.

My Recent Adventures

Okay okay, I know I have been a bit lazy in my blogging, but life got a little bit crazy!
as soon as school officially let out I was off on some grand adventures!
Grand adventure Number One:

A visit with the Gramps O'Neal in Texas:
We only raked and bagged the leaves surrounding the house...

(Now just try and image how many more bag there would have been if we had cleaned the entire yard, and this was just he beginning, by the end there was at least 10 more bags or so!!! Yikes)
And played many games of Wahoo. ( a game similar to the modern day Sorry)
Which I thoroughly Enjoyed by the way!

(Long Drive Home...Had to speak in Stake Conference... Washed clothes, packed clothes and accompanied My Amazing older sis, (and bro-in-law) to New York City.

Grand Adventure Number Two:

Where I:
Walked through Central Park (well probably only 1/500th of the park!)
Grand Central Station
and of course Times Square ( in the Rain I might add!)
Kacie, Dill and I just goofin' off before going to bed!!

So I know that a lot of people would do the same thing but Dill and I just about peed our pants when we looked at this picture again today. Honestly some things a person can just never tire of!

And millions of other sweet must see sights! All in all I loved my adventures. I had amazing experiences and saw things I will never forget.
And New York City was just the beginning of my "Seeing the World" Scrapbook!

Checked Out!

Today was the day folks.
I checked outof high school.
And as much as I feel strange
(maybe a little sad, but not "I want to stay sad" just "change is a little scary" sad)
it feels surreal.
Like wow I’m here already. I don’t I think can I really explain it.
And maybe all y'all already know what I'm talking about.
I can remember watching older siblings graduating and thinking they were so old and mature and ready to take on the world and maybe that is how it was for them(not necessarily the old part), but let me tell you that that is definitely not how I feel.
(at the moment any way!)
I still feel like a dorky little kid.
Does that feeling ever really go away?
The thought keeps coming into my mind, "Oh, man I am way to young for this"
But, as much as i have crazy mixed feelings I do know this, I would Never want to go back. Therefore,as much as I am freaking out.....
Watch out world Here I come!

Surprise Surprise

I was having a bit of "senior-itis" and to curb my "if I stay home I don't know if I can talk my self into going back to high school" attitude Mom and Pops lets me have a mini Vacation

I Called by bro- in- law and told him I wanted to surprises my sister Shan with a visit. Whilst on the phone Shan asked who he was talking to he, quite smoothly, told her some tale that she so easily believed, she had no idea that I was coming!

I left this last Monday and arrived in Rexburg at about 12:30.

When I knocked:

Shan stared for a minute

her eyes got a little big

She super smiled

and exclaimed "Rusti!!" "What are you doing here?"

"To visit my big sis" said I.

The much needed four day vacation was just grand. We didn't do much, mostly just hung out. and really that was all I needed!

I love You Shan and miss you quite terribly already!

We're going to State!

My Region Choir Concert was Yesterday and the results are in.....

Our Choir was awarded all Ones from every judge. (It is one of the best scores a choir can get!!!)

And that means we are moving onto STATE!!

And just for fun here is one of the songs were are Performing.

Actions and all!! We don't get to dress up but we do get to wave the fans :)

It's kind of crazy but it is way fun to perform!!

Nope, definitely No!

10 Reasons why I Hate campfires:

1- No matter where I sit the smoke Always follows Me

2-The only upside to a campfire is 'smores, and I don't particularly enjoy 'smores

3- I hate having only one side of my body warm at a time

4-I almost always seem to get burned

5-While I am sitting by the fire I hate the smell of the smoke

6-When I leave the campfire I hate the smell of me covered in the smoke

7- Campfires are typically a night time activity carried on late into the night, meaning that if I don't shower right when I get home I have to sleep in that disgusting smell of smoke

8-The camp songs (especially Girls Camp songs) that always seem to accompany campfires drive me crazy

9-I'm not much of a pyro, Yes fires are fascinating but not that much.

10-I'd rather be sitting in a hammock, soothingly rocking back and forth, and checking out the stars. Far away from the smoke, the annoying camp songs, and the ashes that somehow always seem to drift out of the flames and burn me when I least expect it.

-On occation campfires are semi fun, but only on occation!-

I was feeling...

Recently go the urge to trey something different with my hair, since it was semi driving me crazy (with its dullness!)

anyway, i just so happened that i recently receive a gift certificate (for being an excellent student) for a hundred dollars to The Paul Mitchell hair school up in Provo.


Well i was feeling a tad bit adventurous. and this is the result. (which really isn't that adventurous but oh well i am a pansy!)

Okay so i guess from the pictures you can't really tell that my hair is that much different. but in person it is quite red not a unnatural red but it is still red.

I know it's not that much of a difference but it still shocked me when the dye was all washed out!

Call me crazy.

1- I am scared of the dark - honestly, and before i can fall asleep i have to check under the bed

13-I think dreadlocks look cool, and hate it that they actually are super stinky and gross

High School + Graduation

When you hear people talking about their GREAT senior years and how that last year was the best, and they went out with a bang..... WHAT do you mean?

Yeah sure i have a pretty lazy schedule, i do random stupid things with friends, sometimes (at least once a week) i might just so happen to be late to class. I've gone to all of the home football and basketball games. I am kind of active in extra curricular activities. I hang out with friends. mostly girls, boys still kind of stink and have cooties and such.
so by doing all of this does it mean that my senior year is a typical one? if so, this sucks. I am usually just crazy bored out of my mind. which leads me to do boring things, that supposedly NO teenager, especially one my age, should be doing. so all of this concludes that I am quite the lame teenager. and my time is almost up..... ahhhhhh

okay so maybe i am just a tad on the scared side to not have good ol' HS to fall back on in a couple of months. you know i have to be getting a life and such, taking on responsibility, getting a real job going to college. *heavy sigh* it's better than high school right? RIGHT?

Quality Time

I was watching a Movie the other night.

And even got dad to watch it with me.

(Even though when he first heard the title of the movie he scoffed, made fun, etc. he went up stairs got some ice cream and promptly came to join me!)

I laughed a great deal

Dad gave me raised-eyebrow looks through out the show,
(i think he was really just holding back a few laughs himself.)
Once you know the title you might understand, i think the only reason he watched it was because i was watching it with him.

The movie:

i feel honored that dad would sit and watch with me a dumb (but also quite entertaining)
high school movie. honestly i think the title says it all!
