Atticus turns TWO!!

Atticus had a birthday- uh hum-  back in September.  Yeah, I'm doing terrible at blogging these days.  I don't really think anyone but my mom and one sister read this blog anyway so oh well.  This is for my own documentation.  It was on a Sunday so he was dressed nicely for pictures:)  We just had a little family celebration and Atticus was so happy with his balloons to kick around and his few presents to play with.

Can I just say that getting sprinkles to stick all around the cake is actually very very hard.  All these blogs make it seem so easy how you can just toss them against the side but man, mine did not stick that easily!  His cake was super lame but I tried to at least make it look cute- and I finally got to use my wood that I brought home from Maine this summer.

You like Chandler's photo bombing?!  The kids would not stay out of my way while I was trying to take his picture.

I love this because Emery and I picked out this present and she wrapped it and then decorated it with little scrapes of paper.  It was cute.

The kids were so so so excited for him to open this fire truck.  I was trying to figure out what the heck to get a third boy when we have every truck there is and conveniently about a week before his birthday he suddenly started an obsession with fire trucks.  And we actually didn't own a big one!  So it was perfect.  He is seriously obsessed with fire trucks to the point where it can get annoying.  He went through a few weeks of constantly asking to see them while in the car- because at times we will see one.  Beckett's preschool is across the road from a big fire station so he loves that we get to look and see if the truck is in the garage twice a day.  But after we see one then he asks over and over again, "more oot mama? more oot?".  And the weirdest thing is he called it an "oot".  I have no clue why and he doesn't say that really anymore- he has some other word that I don't quite understand but I know that it means fire truck.  He makes a killer siren sound and his face is adorable when he does see a fire truck.  As excited as I am for a girl- little boys are awesome.  They really are so fun.

We also have a pyro on our hands.  Steve re-lit those candles so many times.  This picture is totally blurry but it's him asking Steve to light the candles again.

Man, we love this kid.  He's a light to our family.  In the past month or so he's been really really hard.  His favorite word is NO and he yells it over and over again.  He punches and hits me in the face all the time.  He throws huge tantrums and sprawls on the ground crying.  He annoys his siblings by taking their things.  Basically he is a typical two year old:)  But he still can be as sweet as can be and is mostly happy and goofy and makes us laugh.  If someone is hurt he sweetly hugs them and kisses them.  He cheers us up and we love him for that.  We would be a sad family with out you Atticus!  Happy Birthday!

First day of school 2015

So I feel like I need to start this post off with telling you all that we have a baby GIRL joining our family in April 2016!!!!!  Hopefully I can get caught up and write more on that later.  But for now I felt it was relevant to mention because it kind of ties in to the kids starting school.

So they started on I think August 24th.  We had just gotten back from Maine 3 days before that so things were crazy around here.  That week I was so so so tired and every once in a while I would have this slight nauseous feeling.  I was kind of thinking I may be pregnant but at the same time it didn't seem possible because I never have gotten pregnant without fertility drugs.  So I put it out of my mind.  I finally gave in and took a test after the first week of school.  Let's just say the first month and a half of school were horrible.  I was sick and tired and I couldn't keep up on anything.  And I hated everything and everyone and swore I will never ever get pregnant again.  I finally feel so so so much better and can function and I feel happy again!  Yay!

Chandler insists on sports clothes every day but he is really good about times I want him to dress a little nicer.  Emery, not so much.  I was so worried she would throw a fit about clothes but she did agree on these new sport ones.  She is a sporty stubborn girl and I don't know if I will ever get her in jeans or any cute tops.

Don't pay to much attention to my no make-up morning outfit.  But it's fun to look and think- "I was pregnant there and I didn't know it yet!".  (I was also pregnant the whole time we were in Maine which is weird to think.)

Steve stayed long enough in the morning to see the kids off.

We walked to school and Emery has since refused to go on the bus ever.  She will not take it and it kind of drives me crazy.  So I either walk them or drive them everyday.  Which I prefer walking but it's getting harder because I can't really carry Atticus in the backpack anymore and he is so slow walking so I end up just carrying him with is also hard.

Emery loves school for the most part and does great and is a great writer and catching on to reading pretty well.  Chandler doesn't love school so much and we've been struggling with him and working with the school but I think he does enjoy it for the most part- just not when he has to write.  He is a great reader and well above his grade level and does enjoy reading.

Beckett started preschool this year and was so so so excited.  He didn't start until 2 weeks after the kids started school and he was so antsy to go.  Every day he was bugging me about when he got to start school.  He loves preschool and is a good kid.  The only problem with him is he won't get himself ready in the morning and help out which is hard when I'm trying to get everyone ready for school.  I actually hate preschool and would just rather be able to stay home and not be running around all the time.  He only goes 3 days a week but that only gives me 2 days when I can stay home.  And the time he's gone isn't really long enough to do anything and I still have Atticus so really it's not beneficial to me.  But I think it's good for Beckett and he loves the social interaction.

I really can't believe that he will be in kindergarten next year.  He just doesn't seem old enough.  I know it's still a long time away but still....he's my little boy:(

Well, it seems so long ago now but there you have it- the kids first day of school!
