Bold & Beautiful Preview: As Carter Fears the Worst, Dylan Braces Her Mom to Meet Katie

The Bold and the Beautiful promised us that Carter and Steffy’s secret would come to a head in Friday’s episode (recapped here). But instead, it looks like the buildup is continuing into the week of August 31-September 4.

As you’ll see in the sneak-peek video the show just dropped, Steffy’s tear-stained conversation with Finn is still going on, with him warning that “secrets destroy marriages.”
“We have both done thing that we regret,” his wife replies, knowing far more than he does, “and somehow we need to find a way to move past them.”

Carter sure knows how he’d like to move past his and Steffy’s transgression: by sweeping it under the rug and pretending that it never happened. But, knowing how heavily Steffy’s guilt is weighing on her, he can’t be sure that she’ll stay the course.

As a matter of fact, the next time Carter sees his co-worker and onetime lover, he all but begs her to please “tell me you didn’t tell your husband” about what happened on that couch! Did Steffy wind up spilling the beans? TBD.

Also coming up, Dylan’s mom touches down in Los Angeles and enjoys a happy reunion with her daughter at Bikini. Well, briefly happy, anyway. “There’s some things that you need to know,” Dylan warns Darcy. And you can bet that at the top of the list will be that she’s fallen for Will, whose mother has moved way past the disapproving stage and into the flat-out nasty phase.

Speaking of Katie, though we highly doubt she’s sincere about this, she tells Bill that “if there’s any hope” of her approving of “Dyll,” “I need to meet the mother who raised her.” Personally, we’re hoping that Katie’s appalling attitude toward Dylan bites her in the butt, and Darcy winds up catching Bill’s eye. (After all, she is another gorgeous blonde like Brooke.)

<p>Did you laugh aloud when <em>Beyond the Gates’</em> Dani and Naomi high-fived and said they would “use their hatred of Hayley for good” by filing a lawsuit against the troublemaker and Garland Memorial were Ashley to lose her job for having Bill’s wife booted from his hospital room? Naomi said she’d prepare the case, and Dani offered to pick up the tab!</p>

<p>We’re loath to agree with Bold & <em>Beautiful’</em>s Sheila, since marriage isn’t the be all end all for a relationship (just ask any soap opera character) but isn’t she right about Taylor? The psychiatrist <em>did</em> become involved with her patient and wasn’t exactly honest with Shelia who trusted her for help with Deacon. </p>

Having read <em>Eye On Fashion</em> does not make Dylan Luna!</p>

<p>Wait, Chanel’s labor was 24 hours long on <em>Days of Our Lives</em>, and she had <em>no</em> pain medication? Kayla said they couldn’t risk an epidural, but that’s not the only way to ease pain during labor! Why couldn’t they give that poor woman anything? No wonder Johnny’s so in awe of his wife!</p>

<p>Can you blame <em>Days of Our Lives</em>‘ Paulina for telling Theo that if Abe wants to talk to her, he needs to make the first move? Yeah, it’s all well and good that Lexie changed her mind about Paulina at the end, but she did push Abe into cutting Paulina out of his life completely the second she returned. And Abe didn’t put up any resistance! Empathy for Abe or not, we’re Team Paulina!</p>

<p>We know we didn’t miss anything on <em>General Hospital</em>, given that we recap the show daily. But it feels like we did somehow, and we know we aren’t the only ones. Sonny and Ava had been peacefully co-existing for awhile now for Avery’s sake. Heck, they were living together at one point, and it seemed like they might couple up! Now all of the sudden, they are bitter enemies again and plotting against one another. Um… why?</p>
