The colder weather and the darker evenings of Finnish autumn offer a chance to catch up on some TV.
With so much English-language content available to stream on Yle Areena, we asked Yle Drama producer Pietari Vappula to help us pick out some hidden gems, with his recommendations ranging from documentaries and comedy to drama and animation.
"Personally I loved Keinaan's documentary series and would love for everyone to see it," Vappula said, referring to the Yle Areena series Keinaan, mee takas Somaliaan (Keinaa, go back to Somalia), in which Finnish-Somali YouTuber Keinaan travels to Somalia after growing tired of commenters telling him to "go back" there.
Here are some of Vappula's other picks. You can find more programmes with English subtitles on Yle Areena.
