3 months old and counting..

Took little Lincoln for his 3 month old pictures today. I was so hoping they would catch that huge smile of his, and they did not disappoint. Look at my boy, oh I swear I just love him so much. Every little thing about him, is so absolutely precious to me. I was showing the pictures to Thiago and of course he loved them, but he commented on how in 10 years from now when we look at these, how sad we will feel. We will want those chubby little cheeks back and that sweet little baby. Time moves so quickly. I am at a point in my life right now, where I just wish I could freeze everything. I am loving every minute of everything right now. Life is so simple right now, just nice and simple. Of course we don't make tons of money, we are most certainly not in our dream house, my days are chaotic more often then not chasing after my 2 babies. However I wouldn't change a minute of it, not one single minute. We are so happy just living in this moment.....

I also wanted to get a picture of the 2 of them in their Easter clothes, so I just decided to do it all at once. And once again I love how it turned out. I swear all day I have just sat around staring at these pictures. If you ask me they are well worth the money, pictures bring me so much happiness.

Now that Lincoln is 3 months old, I just wanted to document a few little Lincoln facts. He changes so much everyday, and I want to be able to look back and remember my baby at 3 months old.

Favorite food....well his mommy's milk of course. That is all the boy knows, and he thinks it is good stuff.

Favorite way to be held... he likes to be up against my shoulder with his little head poking up, loves to see the world but still safe in his momma's arms.

Sleeping habits...great little sleeper. He goes down at about 9:00 each night, and will sleep in his own little bed (in our room) until about 4:00. He sometimes will stay awake after that until about 5:30-6:00 or so and then go back to sleep for another few hours. I don't think that is bad at all though.

Favorite way to sleep...cuddly little guy. Loves to have blankets, very soft cuddly ones up around his face. Very much likes his bink to fall asleep too.

Favorite toy...his bouncer and lately he is starting to like his swing.

Favorite thing to wear...soft, cozy little things. Hates when I put him in jeans and overalls, not as comfy.

Least favorite thing to wear....bibs. He is always trying to pull at his. But I tell him as soon as you stop spitting up, we can take it off. Until then, get used to it.

Favorite past times....cuddling with mom, smiling at dad (nobody gets him to smile like his dad does, he sees Thiago and turns on the charm), and of course playing with big brother. They lay side by side under his little toy gyms and play and talk or in Lincoln's case coo.

Least favorite thing to do....does not appreciate being in his carseat if the carseat is not moving. He loves it as long as we are in the car or in the stroller or something. But to just sit there, no way.

Most common facial expression.....SMILE. He is such a smiler, you look at this kid and he is all smiles. Love it!

Nickname...baby Yinkin. Carson can't say his L's very well and when I was pregnant he always refered to him as baby Yinkin. The name has kinda stuck. He is our "baby Yinkin".

All in all this little guy is such a joy. Such a blessing to our family, all 3 of us including Carson are just wrapped around his little finger. He is without a doubt my most littlest love and I can't get enough of those sweet little kissable cheeks. Love this boy!

Because I have a brother, I always have a friend!

Just some random pictures of my little angels. There are so many things I love about being a mom of 2 but seeing my boys together is by far my favorite. Of course a part of me would like a little girl someday, but I am so grateful that Lincoln was a boy. It makes my boys brothers. I love having sisters, I can't imagine not being blessed with that. So of course I want the same thing for my kids. Every boy needs a brother, and every girl needs a sister. Built in friend.

Carson is the best big brother ever. I am seriously so proud of him. He watches out for Lincoln like no other. He loves to kiss him, tickle him, talk to him...all that. Lincoln is so blessed to have him, I know he will always set such a good example for his baby brother to follow.

I truly think that the greatest gift I will ever be able to give these 2 is each other. I hope they always stay the best of friends and that they always realize how blessed they are to have one another. Love them, love them!

Love is in the air...

We had a rather quiet and uneventful Valentines day. I work on Fridays and half a day Saturday and of course Valentines had to fall on a Saturday. Oh well. Thiago just stayed home with the little ones all morning and then I got home that afternoon. By the time I picked up the house, threw in some laundry, got the kids in the Valentine outfits it was almost 5:00. So we then just gave them their little Valentine gifts and headed out to dinner. We went to Tony's pizza in Ogden. Me and Thiago just love that place. We have gone ever since we were in highschool, I don't know if we just love it cause of the memories or what. But we go there alot. It also wasn't nearly as crowded as other places and is a good place to take kids. Ash, Souli and their little ones and Rosemary all came with too. After dinner, we were lucky enough to get both our kids to bed by 9:00 which really doesn't happen a whole lot. It was so nice to have some time together. Thiago rented "Nights in Rodiante" or however you spell it. I slept through the entire thing so don't ask me how it was. Thiago hates shows like that, he just got it for me. As soon as I was asleep, he just turned it off. It was a nice enough day, always great to be with my little loves.

That was my present to Thiago. Very exciting I know. We are horrible, every year we do a little less for each other. I usually just would rather spend the money on my kids rather than us. Plus I don't need alot to know that my honey loves me, he shows me that everyday in the little things that he does.

My pretty roses that showed up at work. He never fails me....always remembers to get me flowers. Which I know some people think is a waste of money, but I love them!

My sweet little lovebugs and their valentines. Lincoln's is bigger than he is.

Carson got more ninja turtle guys and a bunch of candy. Of course the ninja's had to come with us to dinner.

Lincoln just got a bunch of little things, bibs and toys for his carseat. Here he is checking it out. He is so cute he just sits and swats at it.

Here we are at dinner....great picture I know.

Me and my best girl. Isn't she pretty in her valentiney clothes. You bet she is! Thats it for us. Now I had better go rescue my baby upstairs, I can hear him fussin it up!

Be My Valentine...

Happy Valentines day to you all from me and the two little lovebugs. We got our celebrating off to an early start today. We had ourselves a little Valentines party with the sisters and cousins. Always way crazy and hectic with all of those little ones, but so much fun. Especially for Lance and Carson. They are at a such a cute age and get so into our little activies. Don't you love Lincoln's expression in this picture, he was not to thrilled that I was posing him for this picture.

My mom is so dang cute. This is a picture of Carson holding his little valentine from her. Funny story. She called me up on Wednesday to ask if we would be home around noon. I said yes, she said okay and that she was dropping by Carson's valentine, so to make sure that he answered the door. No problem there, he loves answering the door. She then calls back awhile later and says she is almost to our house, so to be ready. She says make sure and don't answer the door to fast cause I need time to get back to my car. I am like what the heck, is Carson not supposed to know about this. Well to late I had already told him that grandma was coming and he was so dang excited. So the doorbell rings, I am in the basement and I can hear Carson running towards the door upstairs. I take my time going upstairs and when I get up there I expect to see Carson by the front door waiting for me to open it. He is not there and all the sudden I hear him crying. He is standing at our front window watching grandma get in her car and drive away. So sad, he couldn't even enjoy his treat for the first half hour cause he was so upset about her leaving without saying hi. Whoops, next time I will remember to not say anything. He cheered up after a little while and finally got around to enjoying his treat.

Always so much fun trying to get kids to coorperate and get a good picture.

Here we are doing our first little activity. We made little valentine envelopes for the kids to keep their valentines in. I brought these little glitter glue stick things, and well after they got done with those. Not pretty, we basically threw all the envelopes away. They got a little carried away on the glitter, and that is putting it mildly.

Workin hard...check out that glob of glitter in the middle of his heart.

After that we put together their little Valentines to give to each other. Carson chose the Ninja turtles of course. That is his most lastest obsession. Kinda funny cause the kids just didn't understand this concept. Carson lost interest in addressing them to people after like 2 seconds and I ended up doing most of them. Lance on the other hand loved getting them all ready but didn't understand why he had to give them away. Quite a few tears were shed....

Lincoln slept the entire time so that worked out nice. I just thought this picture was cute. Jen took it kind of on accident. My settings got messed up on my camera and she was trying to fix it for me. She took this picture just testing out the camera, but we thought it was cute. It was right after I got done feeding him and he was a happy boy.

After that we made these cute little heart frames with cheerios. And when I say we...I really mean me, Jen and Ash. The boys had completely lost interest so we did them ourselves.

However they loved the final product. It was supposed to be Carson's valentine to his dad. However he loves it so much that I don't think Thiago will ever get to keep it. First of all he couldn't wait until Saturday to give it to him. The second Thiago got home, Carson showed it to him. He told him it was for him, but he wouldn't let him touch it all. So you tell me, who this really belongs to. I am thinking Carson.

We ended the day with a little fun at Artic circle. The boys could run wild and I could finally sit and talk with my mom and sisters. Love kids but they sure do wear you out by the end of the day. Thanks family for all of the fun today, and Jen for our yummy valentine treats. They were delicous. Love you family....happy Valentines!

Little Princess

Look at my little princess...that is what Carson calls our sweet Elle. I think she is the most beautiful little thing ever, and therefor deserves her own post. Little Elle got blessed this past Sunday and she looked absolutely darling. She is not even mine, yet every time me and Ash are out shopping together, I spend more time looking at things for her rather than my own boys. What is it about girls, if you ask me every mother needs one. I still have my fingers crossed that someday I might get me one of these. Anyways, just had to show off my little Elle bell, the most beautiful little girl ever. (Next to sweet Hallie-girl of course, don't think I would leave you out.)

If Elle is a princess then that makes my sweet baby boy a prince. Here our a few pictures of him at the blessing. I tried to get one of the two of them together, we got them all situated next to each other and went to snap the picture and BLAH!! They both spit up. Oh well, I just love that they are 4 days apart. I loved being pregnant with Ash and now watching our babies go through the same little phases of life. So much fun. They are kindred spirits these two for sure. I know they were up in heaven together waiting to come down, I can just imagine Lincoln getting ready to come down and telling Elle that he would be waiting for her in just a few days. It is still so amazing to me to see these sweet little ones together and to think they were the little babes kicking away in our bellies. Sweet, sweet little angels. Love them both.

Another one of my boy smiling, he is turning into the happiest little guy. We all laugh cause I swear you just look at the kid and he starts smiling. Elle on the other hand, well it takes alot to get her to smile. She kinda gets this little amused smirk on her face, almost like she is making fun of you. So funny....

My workout buddy!

When the weather is not quite so cold, I usually try and go jogging a few times a week. However, it has been hard getting into a good schedule lately with 2 kids, instead of just 1 and it is way to cold out there for me. We really want to get a treadmill, maybe with some of our tax return. But in the meantime I have a little aerobics/workout tape that I try and do everyday so I can lose the rest of this dang baby weight. To say Carson loves it would be a serious understatement. I have the strangest kid ever, he gets so excited every time I start the tape. He tries to mimic all the moves and all that. He does it with me for the first 15 minutes or so and after that he gets bored and starts playing with all his toys. While he is playing he shouts out encouragement to me, the guy on the DVD will say to try and go faster or lower or whatever. Carson will say go faster mommy, or kick a little higher. Such a goofball! The other night we were doing it and I was doing my situps and I must have been going kinda slow, cause Carson comes over and says let me just help you and he stands behind me and starts pushing me up. Too funny.

Their is a yoga part at the beginning...it is probably Carson's favorite. Here we are doing updog, usually when I am doing this move Carson comes and sits on my back. Makes me crazy.

His idea of a jumping jack.

Worn out at the end. He kinda gets in my way some of the time, but I love his sweet little company. We do it down in the basement, cause it is cooler and it can get kinda lonely down there. So I am not complaining, he is a great little workout buddy. And you can bet he keeps me motivated. If it comes night time and I haven't done it yet, he makes sure and reminds me. Gotta love it!

It must be love...

Every year for my birthday we always go out with my whole family instead of just us. So Thiago always tries to take me out that weekend, with just the two of us. We have not had a date night since before Lincoln was born, actually I truly can't remember the last date night. We were long over due. So Saturday night we decided to go out together. I was kinda trying to go the next weekend just because Thiago's mom is in Brazil and she is usually my babysitter. However, Thiago suggested we just have Gus and Shalae watch them. I was kinda nervous leaving Lincoln with them, Carson no worries but Lincoln I just didn't know about. Everything went perfectly fine though. We went to a little Italian place on Hwy 193 called Rovali's, it was so good. We liked it even better than the Olive Garden. It was so unique and just quaint and cute. After that we went and saw "Taken". Holy crap, so intense. Way good though, I drive my poor husband crazy cause when I am nervous I just talk, talk, talk. I would not shut up throughout the entire movie. He was a good sport though, doesn't seem to bother him.

We had such a good time together, I forget how much I love date nights. Lately I have been thinking about how grateful I am for the security and companionship that goes along with marriage. We have had a few situations lately where we have found out that other peoples marriages aren't quite what they seem to be. I am so proud and pleased to say that mine is. I love being married so very much. I love that my favorite part of the day is when I hear the garage door coming up and my husband is home for the day. I love staying up late with him after the kids are in bed and talking about our days. I love that something as simple as laughing at "the office" episode together can just brighten my day. I love that I have someone who I can share every worry and every concern with. I love that I have someone who loves me despite everything. Basically I just love that I always have a best friend, someone who walks through life with me and is always there. Okay I will get off my soap box now, I am just so grateful for my guy and the impact that he has on my life. I would not have a life if it weren't for him. Anyways....here is just a cute little picture of our baby boy showing off that darling little smile of his. To cute to not post!
