The second preview release of the Pingwinek live CD is now available for download and testing: "I am happy to announce that Pingwinek GNU/Linux 1.0preview2 live CD is now available for download. Over 30 bugs were fixed; the main changes are: new X window auto-configuration, support for GNOME System Tools (easy graphical configuration, e.g. network). For more information see the ChangeLog. The third preview of the Pingwinek 1.0 live CD/DVD has been released: "Long awaited Pingwinek GNU/Linux 1.0preview3 codename 'Light' is ready! Many improvements have been made since preview2. A new boot system - InitNG, X.Org 7.0, kernel 2.6.15, udev 0.81, etcnet, Tango icons and new coldplug / hotplug. Fast boot in the live CD, text mode in 0:34 and full login to GNOME since boot in 1:25! There are two editions: L (LiveCD - recommended) which contains GNOME 2.12 and XFce 4.2, and XL (LiveDVD) which also contains the latest Enlightenment 17 and Matchbox desktop environments." A preview release of the Pingwinek GNU/Linux live CD is out: "I'm pleased to announce the 1.0preview1 of Pingwinek GNU/Linux live CD. Pingwinek is a modern independent distribution. The live CD contains GNOME 2.10, XFce 4.2 and full development libraries and headers (GCC 3.4.x). You can even compile programs using GTK+ on the live CD! It uses SquashFS and Unionfs, and contains over 2,100MB of software! Enjoy! For more information see the ChangeLog; bugs can be posted here." UBLinux
UBLinux is an Arch-based Linux distribution developed by Russia's Yubitex. It provides four editions. The freely-downloadable "Basic Desktop" edition is available for personal and non-commercial use, while "UBLinux Education", "UBLinux Desktop Enterprise" and "UBLinux Server" are commercial products. UBLinux "Basic Desktop" uses Xfce as the default desktop environment and includes various popular applications for Internet, office, multimedia and graphics tasks.
