Caesar salad
Since we all love green salad, I decided to make Caesar salad for lunch that will help to cool us down on a warm day. I just bought a salad kit which includes, creamy caesar dressing, bacon flavoured bits, parmesan cheese and multi-grain croutons. I only added fresh lettuce and slices of hard boiled eggs. yummy!
Comp Runner-up
Last night was RF Tennis School Competition presentation night and Dorothy received again another trophy for being the runner up in the competition in Division 1. She and her partner were so happy eventhough they didn't won the firts place but being in the final last night was something they deserved. They both worked so hard in the entire competition to get a spot in the final. We are so happy for them. They deserved it. Congratulations!

Ruby Tuesday 2
Here is my late post for Ruby Tuesday 2. This is a candid shot that I took last Sunday at the beach. It was the beautiful red hat which the lady was wearing that caught my attention.

Last Sunday
After a liesurely breakfast, I decided to visit my vegies garden. It has been awhile that I haven't updated it because I have been working these days and don't have much time to clean and prepare it ready for planting. It has been left neglected for months, since the start of winter and this time that we are on Spring, the weeds grow rapidly and overrun the garden. I don't like the look of my garden this time, most of the plants have died.
It was unusually warm Spring day yesterday and I spent about an hour on my knees digging the weeds and did some cutting too because some of my plants at the side of the house need cutting already. I felt physically worn out afterwards. I haven't finished yet and have to do some more cleaning and cutting this coming long weekend. I want to get my garden ready for planting before summer starts.

School Holiday
It is the kids' two weeks school holiday starting this coming week and next week, me and hubby have decided to let David go to a child care where he can have fun, do something and learn. For 2 weeks we booked him there because me and hubby will be both working during these days. They have plenty of holiday activities organized already, like doing craft, they also go to the movie and visit playground and parks and such. David is so excited already. Dorothy on the other hand will be going to a tennis holiday clinic. She will start next week for 4 days since next Monday is a public holiday here. So I think this will be enough to keep them busy and occupied for this school holiday without the aid of tv and computer.
Camera Critters
I have a few posts about our 2 cute guinea pigs already both in this blog and in my other blog. I hope you don't get bored seeing another photos of them again, ..hehehe..for I can't help it but to post again another photos. We love them so much. They have been with us for more than 3 yrs now. We bought them from a pet shop when they were about 6 weeks old. For those who doesn't know them yet, the brown one is Brownie and the black with a bit of white and brown on the face is Lucky.
They live in a big cage inside the house and we always give them fresh grass in the morning and afternoon. Sometimes, we put them outside to graze grass.

At the beach
These were taken last Sunday at Manly Beach. We are on our first month
of Spring and the days are getting warmer, so I thought to go out and
visit Manly Beach. David came with me but Dorothy didn't come for she
was invited to a friend's party. The weather was good but the water was a
bit cold but David didn't mind at all. There were a few kids who were
swimming, some just playing around and having fun on the beach, while
some parents just soaked up the sun while watching their kids swimming
and playing.
I love going to the beach, the smell of the ocean air , reminds me of my place in the Philippines. I love to listen the sound of the waves, I find it so relaxing.

Last Sunday
It was supposed to be David's Taekwondo grading for this term but David decided not to go for the reason that there is still one grading technique that he is not comfortable to perform. The grading is for red and 2 stripes belt, he is a red with 1 stripe belter at the moment. He still needs to practice the one grading techinique and we will wait and see by next grading which will be on next term if he is ready for the 3 grading techniques.

Little Athletics
After careful thought and consideration, we finally decided to let Dorothy join Mt Druitt Little Athletics which will be on every Friday. This Little Athletics Association doesn't mean for little ones only but they offer it for all ages. This activity is based upon the sport of athletics (track and
field). There is a wide range of events from running, jumping, throwing
and walking and they are modified to suit the age and ability of the
children.
Dorothy did her first 2 weeks trial for free and she liked it. In fact, she is already making many friends. I am busy every Friday afternoon now because of my kids' activities, first I have to take David to his Taekwondo lesson, then take Dorothy to the Little Athletics venue, and pick each of them when they finish.

Peach blooms
It is Spring time here and our peach tree are in bloom again and some are just still in buds.
Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" ~Robin Williams
And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

Last Thursday
We had a brief shower last Thursday after an overnight cooler temperature. Dark clouds started to cover after the morning and a thunderstorm was forecasted late in the afternoon. The shower was such a great relief after about more than a month with no rain.
I thought Dorothy's tennis competition was not on due to the weather condition early that night, but since we didn't receive any message of cancellation we decided to go to the usual venue on time. However, when Dorothy's double match was about to end, light showers started to fall again but it didn't stopped them to finish the match. They kept on playing under the pouring rain showers and glad Dorothy and her friend won the game. It wasn't a bad night either for Dorothy won the single match too.

Backyard Sunset
This is my late post for Sky Watch Friday.
