Today's Flowers

One of my succulents has blooms this time. This is one of my favourite succulent flowers. I love the colour and the shape of the flowers.
I planted it in a pot and every year this kind of succulent treat us with its beautiful flowers.
Then suddenly, I felt I was being watched ..hehehe... when I looked up at the pecan tree, I saw this bird. He was been probably watching me taking photos. This bird is called a trutle spotted dove.

Camera Critters

At this time of the year, we often have uninvited visitors in our backyard and one of them are those yellow crested cockatoos. They like to eat the fruits of our pecan tree which is growing in our backyard for more than 15 yrs.
The photos were taken one afternoon while I was in my garden when I noticed their noises.

One morning

Last Wednesday morning when I went out to our backyard, this was the scene that captured my eyes. A small flock of  spotted dove perching on the aerial of our neighbor.
It was cold on that morning and I think they were taking advantage of the early morning sun to warm them.

Autumn Colours

Here is another set of Autumn photos that I would like to share with you. This is still part of the photos that I took in the Blue Mountains sometime last April, the second month of our Autumn season.

Camera Critters

For my camera critters post I have here two photos to share  which were taken in my sister's garden. The first one is a skink.  He was a camera shy that won't give a chance to face my camera.
I am not sure if the bird in the second photo is a wattlebird. I just saw this bird on the gum tree in front of my sister's house.

Thursday morning

I woke up to a cold and foggy morning on Thursday and I didn't let the moment slip by without taking photos. It was beautiful and mysterious.

Moon

Thought to share with you the  photos of the moon which were taken the night after the full moon last week. I was outside when I noticed the moon just rising over the horizon.

Autumn colours

This post is still part of my visit to the Blue Mountains last Arpil 2013, second month of our Autumn season.
"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.  ~Stanley Horowitz"

"A wind has blown the rain away and blown the sky away and all the leaves away, and the trees stand.  I think, I too, have known autumn too long.  ~e.e. cummings"
"How beautifully leaves grow old.  How full of light and color are their last days.  ~John Burroughs"

"Autumn bowed to place a beautiful crown on the Queen of Morning, and her velvet robes sway merrily in the chilly breeze. ~Terri Guillemets"
