Great mini-Retreat

I have been naughty and not blogged a lot lately. But this weekend I have something to blog about.

5 friends and I had a mini-retreat on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. It was just what the doctor ordered. Got there Friday and came home yesterday (Sunday). Great house, great food, and best of all great girls.

Here's some photos of the weekend away.
And these are the layouts I managed to get done. They are all for Challenge Masters challenges. The challenges at this site get better and better every month. For those scrappy friends of mine, jump on over and join! You wont regret it!

National Scrapbooking Day

Saturday was National Scrapbooking Day and Challenge Masters put up a heap of NSD Challenges to celebrate. A big congrats to the girls for these excellent challenges.
Here are some of my entries.

Ellis Beach

After we took Kimmy to the vet to get her stitches out, we decided to make the most of the great weather and took her up to Ellis Beach (about half way between Cairns and Port Douglas). Such awesome weather. Kimmy was a bit scared of the water but went for a long 3km walk on the beach with us.

Ryan is home

Finally Ryan is now home. After only being home for about 4 weeks this year, he shouldnt have to go away again this year except for some mid-week flights.

The wedding I nearly didn't get to

Yesterday I went to Port Douglas for the wedding of Catherine and Ty. As Ryan was away there was only me.

On the way there, the Falcon decided to break down so I got the RACQ to get it going to get me back home where I swapped everything out of the Falcon into the rocket and flew up the coast road to get to Sea Temple Resort in time.

But when I got there, the room wasn't even ready! Grrrr. After showing them my disgust at this, I stormed off and they rang 5 minutes later to say it was now ready. With 15 min to spare, I had a quick shower and got dressed and jumped in the car to go to the chapel at the Sheraton Mirage for the service. Phew, made it!

Then back to the hotel for an hour and a half before the reception. It was a really nice wedding and the surrounding and weather were superb.

So for the second time, I got to stay at Sea Temple, and Ryan missed out again. Bugger!
