CBS owns the broadcast rights in the USA for the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, thanks to a deal agreed in 2023 that runs until the end of the 2027 season.
As part of the deal, a total of 100 USL matches air on CBS each season across both the Championship and League One. Coverage is spread across CBS’s catalogue of free and pay-TV linear and digital channels, including Paramount +, the CBS Sports Network and the CBS Sports Golazo Network.

CBS Sports is an official multi-platform media rights holder for USL League One in the United States, following a multi-year agreement signed in November 2023. The deal, which runs for four seasons from 2024 through 2027, secures CBS Sports the right to broadcast 100 USL matches annually across its various platforms, covering not only USL League One but also the USL Championship.

Paramount+, previously known as CBS All Access, is an American streaming service owned by Paramount Global. It is a subscription-based platform boasting a large catalog of live and on-demand content from Paramount-affiliated networks and channels, including live sports thanks to its ties with CBS Sports.Paramount+ was launched in 2014 by CBS Corporation under the name “CBS All Access.” The platform initially focused on streaming CBS content before diving into original programming in 2016. Following the 2019 remerger between CBS and Viacom, the streaming service gained access to content from Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and more before eventually rebranding to Paramount+ in March 2021.
Live sports coverage has been prominent on the platform, and while it has streamed several sporting events, none has been more synonymous than the UEFA Champions League. The streaming service began broadcasting the competition after CBS acquired exclusive English-language rights in the USA for 2021-22 to 2023-24, later extended until 2030.
However, Paramount+, then called CBS All Access, began streaming the competition midway through the 2019-20 campaign and the entirety of 2020-21. This was due to Turner Sports prematurely ending its broadcast rights deal because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This agreement also included the UEFA Europa League and Conference League, with Paramount+ streaming the fixtures from all UEFA club competitions. In 2025, the service added UEFA Women’s Champions League matches to its offerings after CBS struck an exclusive U.S. broadcast rights deal for 2025-26 to 2029-30.
Other major soccer competitions featured on the platform include Serie A, Coppa Italia, the NWSL, the Women’s Super League, the Scottish Premiership, and more. Furthermore, not only have NFL games aired on Paramount+, but the streaming service has also broadcast college football as well as the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.
Paramount+ has expanded into several foreign markets since its launch, such as Canada, Australia, the UK, and the rest of Europe and the Middle East. As a result, the platform’s content, particularly its live sports catalog, may differ from region to region.
Subscribers can stream all programming on several internet-connected devices, including mobile devices, smart TVs, set-top boxes, streaming players, game consoles, and computers via the platform’s official website or downloadable app.
