14 guys, 1 birthday and a slice of guilt

First, the slice of guilt that I'm feeling can be fully expressed and the defined in the photo below.

guilt-riddennnnnnnn...

It's almost been 3 weeks ever since I vowed to cut down those extra weight hanging on my belly and there I was, having a birthday dinner gathering at a restaurant in Melaka Raya and downing that slice of cake down my digestive stomach to produce even more fat-inducing compounds...

cake: "eat me or you shall pay!"

Ugh, just the sight of it makes me feel disgusted and bloated both at the same time, just look at that thick layered cream on top. I still wonder the properties of carbohydrates, calories and fatty compounds that small slice contains. Nevertheless, I finished the whole slice.

it's between you and me

ANYWAY, my weight-losing entry behind, back to the actual content of this entry, and yes like I mentioned earlier, a birthday. It was my Cze Siang's birthday that day, so we went to the windmill station in Melaka Raya to celebrate it.

typical setting and they had the funniest birthday song that I've ever heard so far, there was background music when we sang the "Happy Birthday" song and it was deliberately repeated 3 times to make the birthday boy awkward at his best..

In case u guys don't know who Cze Siang is, he's my roomate and the person beside me dressed in blue in the photo below, the 3rd bugger is Kam Wah also our roomate (you can view his breakthrough music video here)

my roomies, wouldn't trade them for anyone else

That's all the juice, I've got for now.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO CZE SIANG AGAIN.

I still can't shake off that slice of cake in my stomach, any ideas on how to lose weight? do leave some in the comments aight?

more updates soon!

Vantage Point

Pros,
-----------------------

Just watched Vantage Point last friday with my coursemates, the set was amazing really, and realistic. Not forgetting the explosion under the stage platform and the car chasing scenes. Superb. The back-track for all the roles of the cast and their perceptions before the alleged assassination that happened was understandable. If it wasn't for that, I guess no one would actually understand the movie.

Cons,
-----------------------

Boy did it disappoint me. My disappointment isn't mainly on the movie, rather on the story line and plot. The whole plot and the climax was too coincidental. I think I'd have a better chance at a bird poo landing on my head after watching the movie.

There were a few points I noticed,

Bumping into the guy on the other side of the phone in one of the news feed screens in the news trailer while having the phone conversation?

Then there was this little girl who exchanged lines with this black guy who ended up as the actual heroine that caused the ambulance to flip under the bridge. Why the heroine u ask? The real president of the united states was in it.

Not just that, after the explosion the little girl were looking for her mother and ended up across the road somewhere under the bridge where the black guy was. The really amazing part was, the little girl just "ended up" there whereas the black guy ran took god knows how many blocks and how long it took to actually reach there.

Speaking of the black guy with the camcorder, of all the thousand people in the crowds at the gathering, the evil mastermind chose the black guy for a little small talk right before he uses his PDA to digitally aim the gun at the double, double referring to the president of the united states.

Not forgetting the conspiring "glowing" pretty lady in the ambulance that crossed eyes with the guy that was running away from the bodyguards was a piece of work. Of all random roads to escape from running bodyguards with firing guns, they just had to bump into each other on that road.

Even the real president of the united states (potus) was not rescued from a warehouse or saved from a battle heat of bullets, but rather ending up in an accident with all the casts of the movie were at the end. Where? I'll tell you.. UNDER THE BRIDGE!

I'll stop here for now, interested in more "miracle scenes"? go watch the movie. I've been trying to think of positive reviews for this movie and this is all I could came up with. Let's put it all in two words to sum it up for the plot and the movie.

Amazing Bullshit.

Pink - Nobody knows

click on the play button to stream and listen.

Nobody knows
Nobody knows but me
That I sometimes cry
If I could pretend that I'm asleep
When my tears start to fall
I peek out from behind these walls
I think nobody knows
Nobody knows no

Nobody likes
Nobody likes to lose their inner voice
The one I used to hear before my life
Made a choice
But I think nobody knows
No no
Nobody knows
No

Baby
Oh the secret's safe with me
There's nowhere else in the world that I could ever be
And baby don't it feel like I'm all alone
Who's gonna be there after the last angel has flown
And I've lost my way back home
I think nobody knows no
I said nobody knows
Nobody cares

It's win or lose not how you play the game
And the road to darkness has a way
Of always knowing my name
But I think nobody knows
No no
Nobody knows no no no no

Baby
Oh the secret's safe with me
There's nowhere else in the world that I could ever be
And baby don't it feel like I'm all alone
Who's gonna be there after the last angel has flown
And I've lost my way back home
And oh no no no no
Nobody knows
No no no no no no

Tomorrow I'll be there my friend
I'll wake up and start all over again
When everybody else is gone
No no no

Nobody knows
Nobody knows the rhythm of my heart
The way I do when I'm lying in the dark
And the world is asleep
I think nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows but me
Me

Never really paid attention to the lyrics till this morning when I plugged it in my ears on my way to class. Fate unfolded itself to me recently and showed me a lot of things about myself with the people around me, and this song was in the moment and struck a thin chord in me. I thank you tinq, nurul, ken, hoe, wei khee, and sully for knowing and I'm deeply sorry to all those for not. I'll elaborate no more.

Indeed, the road that leads to darkness has a way of always knowing my name.

Every single day, I've always wondered why. I guess nobody knows.

fragile, it is. letting go, I shall.

At times I realize that my personality and emotional well-being is as fragile as a piece of thin glass. As frail as I'm making this sound, trying not to be too over melodramatic about it, I do actually see the influence on me. Be it socializing with friends or hanging out, simple little comments or sarcasm will cause a ripple, ultimately affecting my mood for the whole day which amazingly I'm aware of.

As hard as I'm trying to not talk about it, I feel that I'm obligated suppress this side of me by blogging about it. I do realize that I'm different from other people, very different. Heck, I do know that not everyone is similar, but to a certain degree of it, I consider myself the odd one out. I could list them down for you and take me hours to type it out, but this one thing about myself that I'm always in denial is...... (drum rolls)

I'm very very sensitively EMOTIONAL.

There, I said it. I'm very very sensitive about how people interact to me around me. I don't really know whether there's a psychological or medical term for it (god forbid), but let me put it this way, a combo of Sigmund Freud and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) patients. I don't know how it all started, probably because I'm the only child in the family and I never actually had any sibling to make a fool of or cry with growing up.

HOWEVER, rest assured. The previous few months was a rocky one before last year's semester break. Knowing that I get serious mood swings at times, those 8 months away from home and my friends that mattered to me the most, nearly drove me to the edge, and the people here don't really care. But the time when I was in Kuching made me realized a lot about myself my friends, my presence in this world, it's influence on me and my influence to the world including the people around me. I also bumped into this fellow blogger from the States although being gay, his undying optimism on life is admirable and inspirational.

I realized that fate will eventually take it's toll on us if we defy it and hold on to that defiance to change it. Ultimately, we will suffer as long as we hold on to that. It made me realized a lot about how to let go and be happier.Gradually, I'm more aware of my actions and how I would react to situations that challenge me.

To be honest, the reason why I'm blogging about this today is because I had an encounter today. I was frail and I tried to defy it and I shattered. As soon as I'm aware of it, I took a deep breath, thought things through and gradually I came back. Others might see it as me getting into a seasonal mood swing, but for me, it means a lot to me.

Well, me sharing this little snippet of my life isn't actually the best way to write a blog entry, but what can I do about it but to let go?

try this for a change, you have an exam tomorrow night, and instead of delving on how bad you're going to do or the time left for you to study before the exam, think of it as an event in your whole life and you're are meant for something greater, something more significant, and this exam is just ONE out of BILLION variables and events in your life to achieve that greatness, now how do you feel now? let me know...

Thursday, February 7

the time when sadistic firecrackers get off from deafening ear drums, I tell you, if bush was here, he would launch a nuclear attack on malaysia (figure of speech) just to join in the fun, war activists would go kamikaze over all the noise.

Also ah, it's the time also when the chinese tauke's and taukenio's get their guilt-free pass to double prices for service charge and food.

It is also the period when all the ah ma's and aunty's see the colour RED for not bringing suay. In fact, they say if we never wear red during the first day of chinese new year, it'll bring bring back luck throughout the year. Now, that's what I call suay .

Hell, even Emilio Valentino incorporated the idea into his label. Like this,

siaw ah! underwear also ang ang ah!?

wtf, clothes red not enough? KNN, even underwear also need to bring luck arh? I wonder what kind of luck it'll bring by wearing red colour underwear.

Not just that, last night I saw this fellow lurking around the bushes, I was so happy at first thinking I was the only one who could see him and I wanted to call him to give me big big luck luck all all year year to fak fak cai cai.

caishen dao!

Mana tahu, when I looked up, got 2 camera-man.. Sigh.. tmd, *FRAUD* like santa claus.

Anyway, jokes and laughs aside, chinese new year for me is the time where families actually get together to catch up and also the only time of the year for the us to have a decent break to sit back, take a rest, put things into perspective and set our priorities right aside from all the visitations and the new year clothes shopping.

However, there's a stigma that comes with chinese new year. The infamous facade of joy that we put on our faces when facing relatives and friends that gradually becomes a norm during the festive chinese new year, and this applies to myself as well. I mean out of 10 visitations, would you say u're actually genuinely happy and glad for at least 3 visits?

As harsh as it seems, I find it really dishonest and unnecessary, but inevitable.

Well, I'll wrap it up for now. Do check back soon and would love to hear your comments.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
&
GONG XI FA CAI!

Tuesday, February 5

I decided to add another category under my blog called "let's talk about..." If u noticed the new link under "Categories" on my left sidebar.

It's just something that I want to be able to blog about to relate to people around. Topic can come from a broad range from titles, general ideas, life philosophies, emotions, people, books, masturbation, sex, movies, cheesecakes (Mmm), and everything humanly possible to think of.

Isn't it more interesting this way? C'mon, I know deep down inside of u, u have this hidden opinion or an idea about something or someone that u just pray someone would relate to you or talk about it. Life is all about expression right? without expression, why even bother to live?

Let's talk about, something.. any ideas for my first title u would wanna talk about? comment on it and check back!

*Dying of excitement*
