Slowing down

Sometimes you just have to slow down... Forget about the chores needing to be done... And sit at the kids table to draw and play with stickers with your 3 year old.

You can bet I'm hanging this up on the fridge!

Big Bear for Christmas

This year we decided that instead of giving presents, we wanted to make memories with my Parents for Christmas. We thought that renting a cabin and taking the kids to see the snow for the first time was a great way to spend the holiday! We decided to visit Big Bear and rented a lovely cabin for us all to share.

Bailey went up on Sunday with my parents (I was working) and Chris, Wyatt, and I followed on Monday morning.

The view on the drive up, snow is so peaceful and the lake was beautiful!

We decided to go snow tubing after we arrived on Monday because it was supposed to rain on Tuesday.

Wyatt wasn't that impressed to be wearing his snow clothes.

Mom stayed with Wyatt while Dad, Chris, Bailey, and I went tubing.
Wyatt must have been pretty cozy in his clothes because he fell asleep!
Nana watching and Wyatt napping.

There was a small hill that Bailey could slide down on her own.

And the big hill that Bailey LOVED going down.

Bailey wanted to go down the big hill by herself, but that'll have to wait a few years!

Two handsome guys!

The Crosbys in the snow!

We decided to open the few gifts we had Tuesday morning

Our tradition is to have mimosas while enjoying Christmas breakfast, Dadda and Bailey making a gingerbread house...
The girls, Grandpa and Bailey making foam bugs (trying to stay busy and entertained)

We went out looking for snow and found a great hill for sledding, snowball fights, and for making a snowman!

Bailey and Grandpa just hanging out at the cabin.
We had a great view at night, the cabin was just across the lake from snow summit and the snow tubing place. Both were lit up at night and we could faintly see people skiing down the hill.

We spent one afternoon walking around the village.

We came upon some carolers and Bailey was so excited to give them some money, then they asked her to sing with them!

We found some ice in town and Grandpa helped Bailey explore it.

Nana and Grandpa make the best walking buddies.
*I was going to type "Nana and Grandpa make the best swingers" but thought that didn't sound right :-)

Two of my favorite guys!

We took a few walks around the neighborhood and found a little snow.

We had fun crunching the ice and looking for bears (wooden statues anyway)

Although we didn't experience as much fresh snow as we expected, we had a great time visiting the snow and making memories together. I think this is a great tradition that we will be able to continue!

Disneyland Christmas Trip

Each year Chris' dad takes all of us to Disneyland for our Christmas gift. We always have a great time and look forward to making memories together. This year we spent the first day at California Adventure and the second day at Disneyland.

The pictures are a bit out of order, but enjoy!

Our gang on day 2 in front of the big Christmas tree in Disneyland.
(Bailey wore her Anna outfit for day 2)
Cousins in the hotel before heading to the park on day 1.

Picture perfect spot!
(Bailey wore her Ariel outfit for day 1)

My favorite part of Bailey's outfit for day 1 was this bow (or bow tie as she calls it) that included a dinglehopper!

The three girls are obsessed with princesses and we decided to eat lunch at Ariel's Grotto in CA Adventure. It was one of the best decisions we made! The food was delicious (and not too expensive), we were able to sit inside which was much needed on the very cold day, and the princesses come to each table to take pictures!
We will definitely be back!

We met a lot of princesses, making a point to stop and find anyone we could.
This was the first time we had an autograph book for Bailey and she absolutely loved it. She proudly handed each character her book and watched them sign it, going back and looking at the signatures throughout the day.

Bailey was even asked to walk with Mickey Mouse as he walked to his meet and greet location!

The girls loved seeing all of the characters! Bailey loved kissing and hugging each one before saying goodbye.

Like I mentioned it was cold and it really was! It also started raining the first night, but fortunately it started right when we were sitting down for dinner before heading to the hotel. I wrapped Wyatt up in all of his warm clothes!

Day 2 at Disneyland, one of Bailey's favorite rides, the carousel, she was being silly, acting like she was sleeping!

Bailey and Dada enjoyed some rides while I fed and changed Wyatt. The Bugs area of CA adventure has a good amount of rides Bailey's size close together and we hit them all!

I wonder who had more fun?

We were fortunate to get into CA Adventure right after it opened and we headed straight for Anna and Elsa. We ended up seeing them twice because we forgot to get their signatures, so we headed back to them later in the day.
They had a new frozen section since we were there last year. The girls were excited to meet Olaf, go play in the snow and go down the snow slide.

Wyatt was mostly in the carrier, he loved looking around at everything!

He even fell asleep a few times as we were walking around. It must have been pretty cozy in there!

I LOVE how excited she was!

Cousins and best friends!
Ella and Bailey

We always have to ride on Dumbo!

Bailey has recently come to love Tinkerbell and all of her friends so we made sure to go to Pixie Hollow to meet them again.
We got to meet Silvermist, a water fairy

The girls LOVED Tinkerbell.
We went in October and met Tinkerbell then. We were all chatting and then I looked over and Bailey was rubbing Tinkerbell's boob!

Tinkerbell was sweet about it and we were cracking up. I asked Bailey what she was doing and she was talking about how soft Tink's dress was.

We had another great trip to Disneyland, lots of memories made with our family, and I feel so blessed that we are able to take our kids to such a fun, magical place!
